Inquiring minds want to know how it got from Knoxville to Minneapolis?  If it was a road trip, how many recharging stops were involved?  And how many days did it take?

Nice ride, but at 16 years old, just too many questions about what will need fixing, next, going forward. CP, but only slightly.

Take away the V6 and what do you have? A $1500 DD. The question is whether or not thatuniqueness” (and the purple paint) is worth the price of admission? This is a 27 year old car, in a salt-loving state, with 119,000 miles on it. It’ll probably continue to run, and it will also probably continue to rust . . .

Nice car, optimistic price. CP

Roof rack? Because Colorado! Wintertime, skis & snowboards. Summertime, mountain bikes.

$5,900 yard art . . .

I bought one just like this, new, only in silver. Dead reliable, but zero character. This one’s a nice survivor, but the price is way too high, close to double what it cost, new, with zero miles!

The Pacifica minivan, with Stow-n-Go seating, works well for 80%-90% of what this would do, while an old pickup, or a simple trailer, would be far better suited for the remaining 10%-20%, the messy, stinky, dirty stuff that you really don’t want to be inside, at any point.

It’s too cheap (pricewise). More profit in more-expensive models . . .

Preach, Brother! KISS! Save touch tech for entertainment, nav and voice-to-text-to-voice. Keep the knobs, buttons and levers for volume, station presets, heat, A/C, shifting and the parking brake.

. . . except that you’d need to empty out the never-empty drawer every time that you needed to use it as a table . . .

The drawers have sides on them so stuff on the “table” doesn’t fall off of said “table”, while the vehicle is in motion . . . the reality is that the tailgate, itself, makes just as good a table, in most situation, with fewer moving, complex parts.

I’m 6'-3" and I don’t fit in the Fit, but I do fit in the Smart 4two.  For comfort in a smaller package, my first choice would be the Subaru Crosstrek, followed closely by the Kia Soul and the Honda HR-V (a bigger Fit).

Don’t forget having/using text-to-voice, or not. Having the system read you a new text (by pushing a single button) is far less distracting than looking at it on either a vehicle screen or one in your lap. The real challenge is (re)training people about the Pavlovian response to respond to every text immediately.

It looks good, for a half million miles, but that’s still a LOT of miles.  It’s not a question of if, but when, the next part fails and another page gets added to the binder . . . CP

Back in the day, our local Chevy dealer (Jim Booher) got talked into selling these, and, not surprisingly, it didn’t work out well. They ended up offering them free, if you bought a new Impala.

Those suck, unless you don’t have legs . . .

NASCAR = National Association for STOCK Car Auto Racing! The further NASCAR gets away from its roots, from racing cars that fans can (aspire to) buy, the more irrelevant they become. Watching billboards go around in circles, waiting for the next big crash, is getting to be more and more like WWE.
