Yeah, not even necessarily a knock on the previous owner. If it was driven as intended, it’s seen some hard use.

I prefer automobiles for adults. Will show up with a fart can and a 19-25 year old with Oakley sunglasses at the wheel.
I will lump this car in with used Chargers, Challengers, Camaros, and Mustangs: There’s a high probability it was beaten like a rented mule. ND.
If it’s mechanically sound this is a NP, but being at a dealer is not great for one of these unless it’s visibly stock (this one is not). Optimistic NP but I’d like to get more info on what’s been done to it.
Hi. I wrote that. I get what you’re saying. I lived it. I was broke, had kids, and drove old cars with high miles. And I didn’t know enough to repair them properly, and my repairs made them run worse. I was putting my family at risk every time I took to the road, and in retrospect, that scares me. Heck, I used to let…
Yeah that suggestion confused me, because like, from what they’re saying, requiring (likely expensive) inspections that would take “bad” cars off the road would also make it prohibitive for poor people to be able to own and operate vehicles.
As a long time motozoomer, I appreciate anyone with a platform sharing these sorts of things with the broader public. I have responded to this particular message about a half-dozen times and used it myself once when the fuel gauge on my old Seca II decided to start lying to me on a ride through (very rural) Maine.
Good to know. We road trip a lot for various adventures. As such we usually have a good set of tools with us and are pretty self-reliant. I’ll be on the lookout for the helmet on the ground. This is a new one for me.
People who say “red light cameras at every light” are the same ones who believe most cops are good and the justice system is fair. I get the idea, and I’m not one of the people out there running lights, but it takes a few minutes of reading into all of the cases and studies that exist about red light cameras being too…
Agreed this should have the Ariya powertrain, imo this is the best looking Nissan crossover exterior design since the 1st gen Murano, the interior looks pretty nice, and I like that there is a trend of Nissan moving off CVTs. If I was in the market to lease a mid-size crossover I wouldn’t rule out test driving this.
50k Anything sounds like a bad idea to me.
Don’t want to meet your daddy...just want you in my caddy
If you weren’t alive back then, it may be hard to grasp what a thunderclap this design was at the time. Visually speaking, it was a bit like the arrival of the Taurus just a decade later. Of course, GM let the downsized B-bodies–especially the Caprice/Impala–steal the Seville’s thunder the very next year.
Certainly not my glass of Dubonnet on ice, but at that price for the person wanting his father’s old car, its just right.
Kei cars are clearly bleeding these organizations dry. Never understimate the pettiness of corporations.
My father rode motorcycles when he and our mother were young and married and didn’t have kids, and then shortly after their first kid (I’m one of four), he had a really serious crash that he was VERY lucky to walk away from unscathed. He and my mom decided that was a sign for him to retire from riding.
I would much rather drive one of these adorable little guys than the massive monster trucks that have far less actual utility that are currently clogging up US roadways.
What we need is a reminder to not leave the baby on the roof. No reason.
Color me insensitive, but are we really laying this burden on manufacturers? At what point do we draw the line and let Darwinism keep the souls it deserves without adding a few hundred dollars and an extra annoyance to the cost of a new vehicle?
It was literally mentioned in the report as the reason researchers started studying building sink rates, which is explained in the article.
