As someone who owned a Tesla for 3 years, this looks very much like a pedal accident. FSD will normally disengage on a brake press or steering wheel turn, and the automatic braking will kick in if you’re about to hit something. But if you’ve got the accelerator jammed to the floor because you think it’s the brake

Blame first, sort it out later gets more clicks.

Sadly, as long as one outlet is willing to run a story before the facts can be sorted out, it will always be a race to get *something* out fast, regardless of veracity...

No time for in-depth reporting, got to get it on the internet for clicks.

Billionaires are always “disrupting” by trying something they thought up that is painfully obvious and very likely tried already, but they’re also too lazy to check and see if it’s been done because they think every sound out of their mouths including burps is something unique and genius-level.

Probably humans in India or Pakistan making $2 a day to look at images. The error rate for humans doing this work is particularly low given that the software was given incorrect information as to where the no parking zones were located and the humans would not be expecting to sort those out.

Waze isn’t as good as it used to be. I got tired of it hijacking Apple CarPlay as the default map, so I had to disable it.

This. I want more daylight when I’m done working for the day, not before.

Google Maps hands down. After that, maybe GasBuddy.

Google Maps came a long way, does pretty good job to route around problems, and found its ETAs are pretty accurate.

Good idea, but we should actually make Daylight Standard Time the actual Standard time.

Of course Leon wants to try something that was already tried in the 70s and everyone absolutely hated it to the point the two year experiment barely lasted a year, cause he’s too fucking stupid to learn from past mistakes.

Oh good, an even uglier Peugeot 408.

Now I’ll be the first to tell you driving dynamics and external looks > interior design all day, as long as it’s comfortable with a good sound system...But this is just, awful.

Oh good, it’s become trendy and popular for cars to look like the BMW X4. Whose stupid idea was this?

Huh, whadya know, those people saying flying cars coming this year were right.

It’s not about being low mileage, although that helps. It’s about it being fully stock. You will be hard pressed to find one stock in this country. Stock Supras can easily fetch $200k+. This Evo has the same cult following now.

You can’t convince me that BaT is not some elaborate money laundering scheme.

There are currently TWO W108s listed on BaT. Both of them are currently under $10K, and neither of them have an embarrassing paint scheme. Most of the W108s that have sold have gone for ~20K.

At what cost?! An average of 16K daily riders before the upgrade to 24K daily riders, today. A net daily increase of 8K, or 4K, each way. The $2.4B cost is conveniently omitted from the discussion . . .
