I use Caltrain to commute. The increase in ridership has little to do with the trains themselves and everything with the increase in service. Trains run more frequently so it's way more convenient. Unfortunately, reliability actually went way down. The new trains are much more frequently delayed or cancelled

Checking out the VIN # comes up with a link that shows the car may have been reacquired by Porsche under a lemon law issue.

I spent most of last year trying to find a Porsche Taycan. I now own one (‘22 CPO 4s Cross Turismo) and I think this is worth buying if:

I wouldn’t buy anything from this flipper that’s full of shit. Their ad annoys me, I already hate them. It’s written by and for someone that’s unfamiliar with Porsche and should not buy one. And anyone that believes seller’s claim that there is “no tax” on a private sale shouldn’t be buying anything more expensive

I think it’s more likely to depreciate like the Panamera since it’s a four door Porsche and only the two door models seem to appreciate. On top of that it’s an electric car and those are generally depreciating quickly.

Rode the new train on Sunday and it was very nice. Just goes American can build the bare minimum that Europeans and Asians build.

Let see if it sustains the trend into next year, two years from now etc.

I’m on the market for a second EV in my home and am considering a CPO Taycan so I have been scouring listings as of late. Most of the cars I see in the $60K range are a year newer and have an “S” next to the 4. It helps that this is a longroof version which is a bit rarer and adds a few dollars to the value but most

For me, if the bottom of the rear hatch opening is not level with the load floor, it is not a station wagon, but rather a hatch-back. Huge difference in functionality, although I doubt most buyers in the market for this are focused on loading functionality.

I have to admit I kind of like the looks of the thing, but being an old I can't wrap my head around spending more than the price of my first house on a rapidly depreciating asset with considerable maintenance and repair cost in the near future (after end of warranty of course) no dice for me.

ND noppity nope nope nope

ND, but for a more practical reason. I’d spend more on shipping and customs than I would pay for the car.

Infiniti was on a downward spiral and Cadillac was struggling anyway but, Anything the infamous Johan de Nysschen touched-

I feel like no.  It does look cool and I remember these from when I was a kid, but they weren’t bulletproof cars back then and I suspect they’re not easy to keep on the road.  It does have a radwood vibe, but if you want to go down that path, I’d pick something else.

Or lets make a web vote to capture the best new slogans and make them official signs!

I grew up with cell phones, my dad was an RF tech that got involved in setting up the towers back in the late 80s.

Not in Colorado but on my street there is a stop sign that is always ignored, one day while walking the dogs in a ravine I saw a broken traffic sign that indicated ‘camera monitored intersection’ so being a lawful kinda guy I dragged it out and left it for the traffic department. Oops I meant I took the sign home and

I think it’s the law in just about every state at this point. And no, no one pays attention. That said there are studies that show even hands free calling is a distraction while driving.  Though typically it’s the more brain taxing the conversation the more distracting it is.

Hands free calling is the law in my state.

God how I’d love a standard cab, manual, bench seat, 4x4 pickup with an operable full rear glass. I don’t care about the stickers but this checks so many boxes for me just in fun/utility. I haven’t bought a used vehicle in a long time so no idea about the price, but if Ford offered this configuration today (with the
