My RX-8 Is definitely happier when I Drive it long and hard. Short trips that don't fully warm it up are brutal on fuel mileage as well.

As an RX-8 owner, I have to agree. Redline it once a day, premix oil, and use a Sohn adapter to stop the burning of dirty oil.
