While sometimes spare tires are cut because of cost concerns, I know from my previous career that most of the time there is just no room for a spare. Rims are HUGE these days, and most cars just dont have the space for one in the trunk. Take a look at the 2nd gen CTS, for example. The base car has a spare tire, but

I haven't had a car with a spare tire in over 5 years. Ironically, the last car that I had with a spare was an IS300. Had a fully matching alloy spare at that! Nicest spare tire I have ever had. I guess I went out with a bang.

So the 16 other CARB states don't have the same restrictions to importation as CA?

Sebring is actually a perfect name for the vehicle. 51 weeks out of the year, Sebring is a retirement community for the oldest of mid-westerners. Many of them have Sebrings. In addition, the Sebring is the standard convertible rental car assigned to the retiree's grand children when they fly down to Florida to visit

If you had a leased vehicle, you wouldn't have to worry about it - just bring it into the dealer for warranty work!

Well, in the video Matt said they were coilovers. God, I can't believe I just watched an 8-minute video about a modified Camry.

Tom, thank you. I was very worried that Jalopnik wouldnt set the record straight.

My wife had the perfect reaction. She just said "Woah. Pointy."

Exactly. Although it is less so than the past, the US is still by far the most important country to sell cars in. Not only do we have the highest sales numbers, but more importantly, we have the highest transaction prices, and no global company can be successful without doing well in the US.

Jason always makes the best graphics.

Great follow up article. I saw this quote posted in your previous article, and thought, the only thing more ridiculous than this guy's attempted explanation of why he crashed was the people defending him as perfectly explaining away his accident to things out of his control.

Great article. I think this situation is getting worse with time. Clever electronics, fancy diffs, and AWD have made many of today's sports cars VERY fast and forgiving. Which makes anyone feel like they are the king of speed.

Interesting, so 16 OBMs with model year 2013 produced in just Nov and Dec? Or does that 16 include 2014s as well. Way more than I thought either way.

It always makes me happy to see that I am not the only one obsessed with the sound from a screaming 4-rotor.

Uhhh? Everyone has always loved RWD. There was a long drought of fun, affordable, and reliable RWD cars when we were kids, so everyone looked elsewhere.

503, actually!

Boom!

To be fair, most of the commentors in your pictures are far from the cream-of-the-crop of auto journalists. At least I am happy to see that Dean Case is also keeping it real.

That is a VERY good point. Ferrari dealers are just as flawed at the rest of them, but at a much higher price point! Ferrari owners are just crazy about this stuff. And they will pay for whatever the dealer tells them is necessary because they don't know better and want that perfect record book.

No joke, the previous

I spent a lot of time with Doug's 360 and minor repair items would be quite easy. The engine bay has lots of space and it didn't look difficult to get to major components. The 360 is also mostly free from crazy computers, switchable diffs, etc. Everything looked pretty straight-forward. With a bit of mechanical
