Yep! Focus group attendees that saw the ND reported it looks "Jaguar-esque."

The one problem with this argument is people assuming that anyone is actually buying the F-type in the first place. I think I have seen maybe one on the road wearing a non-dealer/factory license plate.

I posted this on Oppo last week, but someone on Miata.net, who is obviously very skilled in drawing, did a few sketches of the ND based on very careful study of the ND mules and camo cars and feedback from people who have seen the car. A lot of other people on the forum jumped in and the sketch continually got

Oh, and another thing: Laguna Seca Raceway isn't actually called Laguna Seca Raceway. It's technically called Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway, a point they attempt to get through your thick skull by starting each race with a six-year-old RX-8 pace car that probably consumes more oil than the entire MG racing class.

C7 weighs in around 3250. Outgoing Mustang GT weighs 3600. 350 lbs wont make that big of a difference (same as adding two passengers!). Even the C5 had an EPA rating of 18/25. It all has to do with tons of torque and generous highway gearing!

As of right now, no data for the automatic EcoBoost or the V8 with either transmission has been released. My highly informed "I'm an auto-journalist" guess about the V8's fuel economy would be that it's probably worse than V6. You can thank me for all my hard work in the comments.

Comment of the day right here. No doubt!

Neutral: Is Honda Right? Should we not count rental cars?

Just look at Mazdaspeed3 sales v. Mazdaspeed 6 sales. Same powertrain, but Speed6 was AWD. Granted the 6 was a bit longer and not a hatch, but you get the idea. Speed6 was faster in many situations. Speed3 was always more of a hoot to drive.

Thanks!!

One can hope.

Exactly which law of physics do you think was broken?

I am sure the purchaser thought it would look cooler when visualizing it. The Hyura has some strange angles - the color just accents them!

The GT40 is extremely rare!

Yeah. That's why I asked! I have heard of some California three-rotor people mixing 100 octane and 91 to get the proper mixture. Tuning for 91 octane is much simpler, however!

And I believe the car is tuned to run at 100 RUN, which is about 95 octane, no?

What kind of gas are you putting in it? My understanding is those cars were built to run on something between 95 and 100 octane.

So awesome! I once flooded the motor of a first gen Cosmo. Not a highlight of my previous career.

I have never driven a three-rotor Cosmo, though. What does it sound like? How is the powerband? I have never driven an automatic rotary car!
