I’m probably going to get the Golf R for a daily; cheaper, more comfortable, better on gas, more practical. The RS is stupidly expensive by comparison.

I always worry about being that guy. I like buying and having nice things. I feel like I’m a pretty sensible person, and I make good money and have no kids, but I know that I could slip and end up with a car I don’t need.

My 08 Outback has an EZ30, its not a great engine. Reliable for sure, but not quick. Maybe in a lighter car it will work, but for $23k I wouldn’t risk it.

I voted NP, I don’t know why. I’ve always had a soft spot for these. They’re not good, and there’s 100 other cars I would rather get for this price, but its like a hurt puppy, and I can’t help feel bad for it.

Yeah, it’s largely advertising, both for the people it defends and the people you’re defending from.

In addition. If you fill your tire up normally, and all of the 20% oxygen seeps out over time, and then you re-fill it with normal air, 78% of that new 20% you’re putting in is nitrogen again. So then you would be at around 94% nitrogen.

Neutral:

It’s not even just sporty, its just dull. The Matrix sold really well, because when it came out it was cool and neat and a good price. You could get it with AWD and a better engine. Sure its no rocket, but you had options and a look. The iM has basically no options, and if you want AWD now you need to get a RAV or

Small, cheap, and unique little wagon. Looks in good shape. Sign me up!

I worry about over stressing the parts, especially the motor. Those roofs aren’t light and that hunk of metal acts a big sail. I can hear the motors strain more even when I’m just facing up a hill.

Most Toyotas. They know how to put a car together, but they just cant make anything good. What happened to the good old days of Celicas and Supras, the MR2. Even old Corollas had some good variants. Now all their cars are blander than the food in my grandfathers old folks home.

At least yours works while moving. NC Miata you have to be stopped, in neutral, with all doors and trunk shut. It also puts the windows down a crack for clearance, but you can’t put them down all the way until its done moving also.

Yeah, but there’s two different colors.

I like your ambition, but as an engineer (that has not researched this at all) I would imagine that the block is the easier part compared to all the other parts. Its basically just a big hunk of static metal with some holes cut into it. You just need to make sure the holes are the right size and in the right place for

Go Toyota, older Celicas, MR2, AE86, Supra if you can swing it. All good choices.

Why does it have to be so fast? I’m assuming its starting with a single electric motor option, but I would rather it be cheaper and do it around 7s. Sure it’s nice to have the option to buy a faster one, but if they want this to be the “cheap” Tesla, then why not go for it?

Why buy a crossover to be practical when you could get a Minivan?

This sounds like a psychology experiment full of confederates (in the Psych sense). Making you go along with the group by making you feel bad subtly.
