The utilities really need to get on subsidizing charger installation, especially in places where they’re losing revenue to distributed solar. Night time charging would be an excellent way for utilities to recuperate revenue, and the installation of a 220V plug can be easy and cheap.

I just modeled a 15 year mortgage vs a 30 year assuming that the balance (difference in payments) is invested. With a 3.125% and 3.375% rate (15 and 30, respectively), any return on investment greater than 6.45% makes a 30 year mortgage more favorable. Length of the loan isn’t everything.
