ESPN’s argument is that Pierre-Paul’s finger amputation—which occurred after he blew up his own hand in a fireworks mishap—was a matter of legitimate public concern given that Pierre-Paul is a famous athlete.

I’m not sure ESPN’s lawyers have a full grasp of the situation here. I’d call them incompetent, but I’m not one to point fingers.

“But when this gets in front of the jury, you’re going to see some fireworks.”

It’s in Florida? He should win $140 billion and force Disney to sell to Telemundo.

They say Pierre-Paul may seek as many as seven digits.

and not be a Charger. This is the definition of a win-win.
Also if he falls to the second round wont he be able to get to free agency faster.

You would think Charger fans of all people would identify with Bosa for feeling screwed by ownership. If you are an SD fan and you side with ownership over anything, you are officially too dumb to have an opinion.

it’s called nepotism...front offices in all sports are filled with the children of those in the ownership group.

I think the most overlooked fact in these discussions is Bosa’s family.

There is a large segment of society whose base reaction to these sorts of things is “he’s getting paid millions to play a game”, so the basics of pointless sour grapes is that they side with the ever-benevolent, billionaire owners.

A couple million *only in the ridiculously unlikely scenario their #3 overall pick is so bad they cut him during his rookie contract*. Let’s not act like they’re actually negotiating over total expected compensation, the Chargers just want to maintain a position where every single draft pick is subjected to the worst

Plenty of leverage. He doesn’t play this year, then reenters the draft and is a 1st round pick again.

I am constantly amazed at the lack of professionalism many “professional” people display. The front offices of sports teams in particular seem to be a breeding ground for this type of “professional”.

In response to this offer, the NCAA ruled USC ineligible for this year’s BCS.

Rotary engines and auto stop/start for emissions. Boom flood time

Reports are the new rotary will now last 45k miles instead of 30k miles.

Top 5 program? What year do you think this is?

You really think he doesn’t have a chance to play D-1 football and get a full college scholarship now?

No. Nobody else thinks that.

He’s still getting a D-1 scholarship moron, just not at Michigan.
