Seeing as Rambo 08 and some Whitepapers from Amnesty International where the only places talking about Myanmar the movie still did more than everyone else to bring attention to the atrocities that are still ongoing. 

The Variety article says “Wu acknowledged that the legal issues in the case are close calls, and that his ruling will likely be appealed.” and even the AV article says “Judge George Wu sided with the estate, even as he noted that his decision had a decent chance of being appealed.”

Exactly. This is about the US Attorney getting their name in the news. If these parents where poor or non-newsworthy there is no chance this case would have been approved as it is a waste of money and manpower.

This is not Enron or the Mortgage crisis or the unorganized crime group that is Deutsche Bank. This is parents trying to get their kids into college. Everyone would do this if they had the means and opportunity to do so.

If these parents where not famous and newsworthy they would never have been arrested in the first place as no one would approve the hundreds of thousand to investigate this. Hell, if she was not famous she would have been given jail time. But, sure keep pretending this is Enron level fraud.
