The black alternate jerseys are going to have the same issue as the Giants’ alternate black jerseys. The name and numbers aren’t legible from a distance, even on HDTVs. If the script/numbers were red or blue, you would be able to see them much easier.
Harlan’s best call:
Yes. That’s the Trail ref in a 3-official game. Lead (under basket) is always looking into the lane. That 3-point shot is the Trail’s call, and the Center official (other sideline) mirrors it. Trail signals the attempt, then made basket, then intentional foul (crossed arms). If both free throws were made, that’s a…
I think Tenaglia made contact with Platt’s arm as he starts to go up for his 3. Didn’t look like much though.
Worth it if we can see a shot of sad Fireman Ed.
Nailed it.
Doesn’t the entire show take place in Waco? Aside from the Koresh compound, I just assume most everything in town has some connection to Baylor, a fundie university. Not surprised the family would subscribe to that doctrine.
Bad bounce boinks bird in balls.

Why aren’t you reffing youth American football games?
As far as I know, the WS assignments have not been posted. They generally come from those who worked the Wild Card and Division Series, except for those who worked both Wild Card and ALCS/NLCS. It’s possible Hernandez could be assigned—he’s eligible since he last worked the ALDS.
Why did they have to make the headline so complicated?

Gee whiz.
The slow motion video I saw on TBS showed the ball first striking Betts’ closed glove, then a fan’s hand, then the ground. It happened very quickly, and might explain the angle of the bounce, but I don’t think the second strike was relevant for the purposes of the interference call though.
Not at first. The ball hit Betts’ glove (closed by contact with a fan), then hit someone’s arm before falling - may have been the same fan he first contacted.
He was.
