Except for when the answer is R8.

It really is basic math. Less money spent in production added to charging customers the same or even more (because Mercedes), equals more profits for the car company. It sucks, but it is the way the world works now.

Oh I completely agree, it is the price we pay for advancement. I only really have two issues with new technology. The first being that it is supposedly introduced because it is more reliable and more efficient than the tried and true methods currently in existence. Turns out that they might be more efficient but end

This may be true, but I also heard a while back of a plastic water pump for a BMW going for about a grand. I think it is all in the profit margins. I don’t think that it would be too far feched to say that almost all of them are built in China or Mexico. Its all about perceived quality. My car is a beater, I have over

Not surprised at all. The RS is actually built in Germany IIRC. The difference between the FiST, the FoST and the German companies is that at least when it comes to parts the gap for things is great. I looked up a water pump for a Focus on www.partsgeek.com the most expensive one was around $82 . The same part for an

There are at least three or four used German cars that if I had the funds I would buy in a heartbeat. I would still probably need to have the same amount that they cost in the bank just for that special moment when they do fail though. Even if I could do the work myself some of the parts can get really pricey.

Hopefully you don’t mind me butting in, but the Chevrolet SS is probably the most overlooked vehicle out right now. Just my 2 cents though.

Ze germans aren’t really known for their reliability. They are however known for being very expensive to repair. Having said that I pine and drool over the E46 M3. I know it might be a nightmare but I still want one so very badly.

I was all kinds of in love with the Wrangler Renegade of the 90s. Square headlights and fog lights in the fenders. I just thought that thing was all kinds of tough and sexy looking back when I was a young teenager.

I honestly don’t know whose America it is, what I do know is that it is not the America I want for my children.

I don’t mean to sound xenophobic or anything. But what third world country did the woman who posted this come from? Just trying to decipher what she was trying to say caused a huge headache.

I get where both parties are coming from, but in order to make an informed decision we need more info as to who the celebs and influencers that have gotten one. I have only heard of a couple of people getting allocations. One of them being Shmee150. I don’t mind that he got one. He is a true car guy. Alejandro could

So the scare of a lifetime in exchange for upgrading the GT350 to an R model. Well that seems like a good trade. Good on Ford for stepping up and making this right. All I can say is that at least it went out on a track and not on the street.

Believe me, I understand, I work for one of these evil things. We have people whose sole job is to limit the amount that the government taxes us. This is not in the interest of paying less, for the sake of paying less. This is done in order to pay less so that we can pass on less of these expenses to the end user of

I think that in order to own this car you would need to have at least 50 million in the bank. I figure you pay taxes on those 50, buy the car for twelve have maybe twelve left over. Buy a million dollar home with a million dollar garage and invest the rest in order to maintain everything. What I would never in million

Exactly, worse part is that the larger corporations in proportion end up paying less taxes than you or I because they have tax loop holes and ways of getting around paying their “fair share”.

How much can it really be per vehicle though? Add a Benjamin to the bottom line and you pretty much have the fine covered. The only one that really gets screwed is the customer. They have to pay money to the government because of some useless policy that the automaker basically just passes on the the end user.

Ferrari apparently didn’t sell that many vehicles in 2009 by the looks of it. only about 450.000 in fines. for them.

It is hard to believe that the same people that brough us the Holden HSV W427, are crying because a hatchback has a button that makes it handle better.

After seeing the price I immediately went to crack pipe, and I stand by that. I do however find this skyranger very interesting if for no other reason than the fact that Ford were the ones to actually comission this “thing”.
