It was never meant to be a gunship. It was meant to increase the range and speed of the Marines Helos. It had teathing issues but they ended up working through them and turned it into a very valuable asset.

Wow that is a cool story. I will definitely look that up once I get home. Stupid moving picture filters at work won’t let me access youtube.
We are definitely past to point of no return on this one. Here is hoping (in vain) that the LRSB doesn’t spiral out of control like the F-35.
I would tend to agree, but the whole problem is what it will cost to get to that amazing. It is not the first and unfortunately probably won’t be the last financial clusterfuck. The Tech is cutting edge and someone has to pay for it to get fielded. I guess the real question is how much is too much?
I actually follow both Scotty and ETCG on youtube and I couldn’t agree with you more. Scotty looks more like an extremely sketchy shade tree mechanic, that fixes things with duct tape and bubble gum. ETCG is definitely a lot more professional in all ways shapes and forms. I am sorry but if you are going to do a repair…
Don’t forget that this is done at the same time that the people of said nation are forced to suffer through coutless shortages due to lack of dollars. That is just the icing on the Maldonado cake. Not even his compatriots like the guy.
I wonder what the failure rate for the S-300 is?
You either work or Lockheed Martin or are being extremely sarcastic and facetious.
Love the articles by the way. They get me fired up and in the mood for arguing but in a good way.
Seriously I know I have asked this many times over, but how much do we have invested in this thing to date? How much would it cost to start up F-22 production again. How much do we still have to spend to get this clusterfuck airframe combat ready? I remember thinking what seems a million years ago when this whole…
I could not agree more with your assesments. Especially when it comes to that fuel thirsty engine. I remember reading that it sucks down as much gas at "idle" as its diesel counterparts do at full chat. I don't know about the accuracy of this claim but it sounds plausable. The weight is definitely an issue. But I…
Okay if you had said that this was the best car that Toyota could come up with six years ago, I would have had no problem with that. But from a performance standpoint Nissan made a better car. I would still take that screaming V10 over the TTV6 any day of the week though. That engine along with the Carrera GT V10 and…
Maybe just another way of saying hey sorry for invading and killing so many of your people so many years ago. I am 34 and it seems like ages ago, but if we look at the big picture WWII was really not that long ago.
Thank you for the explanation. It just seemed a bit odd to retire a much more modern fighter and upgrading a third gen one. It is all about economics in the end. It was more economically feasible for them to do it the way they did and in the end it seems like they made the right decision.
They retired the Mig 29s but decided to keep the 21s?
I actually read that book as well as a few others. They have talked abour refiting the BUFF with newer engines on two or three different occasions. The funny thing being is that in that aircrafts case the newer more powerful engines would also offer an even greater range due to them having better fuel consumption…
Definitely one of the coolest videos I have ever seen! Thank you!
So BBS stops making the RK and yet AC Schnitzer keeps making and selling those horrid rims. Life is not fair.
This thing looks way too early 90s HBO pimps and hoes ball, type ride for this to be a nice price.
I kind of think I would rather have a 308. The 348 didn't do it for me styling wise. A 355 for a little more hell yes all day long, screw reliability and maintenance. One can survive on Bologne and spam can't they?
