I love Bob Lutz like a brother, but he's got a big fucking mouth.
I am a car guy, and I am looking at leasing for two main reasons, I will be pretty much flat broke and starting from scratch when I move back to the U.S. so that doesn't really allow me to buy new or used and get something reliable. Therefore I look at leasing as getting a brand new rental car for less than what I…
Oh god yes! I was looking for th first post of someone saying this. The grill looks like an afterthought. Sort of like those "gold" and "platinum" teeth that rappers wear. It looks very aftermarket, and not in a good way. I think the styling is a bit off with this car personally.
I have seen some terrible carnage similar to this. A Mitsubishi Lancer early 90s version, squashed between two semis. One was stopped in the road, with the Lancer stopped behind it. A semi came barreling around the corner to find traffic stopped ahead of him. Slammed on the brakes but could not stop and turned the…
That would most definitely have to constitute as a code brown for all parts involved. Having a friendly torpedo launched at you while you ferry POTUS is not what I would call relaxing. And to have those big 16" guns trained on the "little" (in comparison) destroyer would have ruined my day.
Paiging Mr. Demuro, we seem to have found your next ride. Seems like the perfect replacement for the Ferrari. 800hp seems like the right amount of power to get rid of that sour Ferrari taste from your mouth.
I was initially excited about the LCS concept. I thought it would be something like a mini Arleigh Burke. Then I saw a Natgeo special on the Freedom and Independence. When I saw that they planned to but a bushmaster cannon from the Bradely as its biggest offensive weapon. Well that kind of killed it for me. This…
If its the same as the one in the GIF it would be a second gen Bronco, not a first gen. I'm at work and have youtube blocked so can't tell for sure.
Not all tuna is created equal. The tuna in a can is like chowing down on spam. The choice stuff, well that is more along the lines of Kobe beef. Japanese are willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars for the right fish.
You are correct, stealth is an ever evolving science. Someone invents a new radar absorbant material, and someone else is going to be hard at work to defeat it. In all honesty I find stealth on a ship kind of a difficult pill to swallow, for no other reason than size. Then again the B-2 seems to do a pretty good…
If there is one thing that I am hoping, it is that the NSX does not turn out to be an LFA. The LFA was designed back when the Ford GT, Ferrari Enzo and Porsche Carrera GT were out. Buuuuut they sat on it until the economy bounced back. Problem was that it had a single clutch automated manual, when by that time we…
I am no expert in the matter, but I am guessing there is a little kevlar sandwiched in between the balsa and carbon fiber. At least for this structure. The hull is probably made of aluminum. So regardless of what they put it in, if anything gets through and this puppy starts to burn, it is not going to last very…
The Su birds really are good looking fighters. I remember reading how we built the F-15 in what was then the perceived threat from the MIG 25. Apparently we thought that it was an insanely capable fighter and so we went all out on the F-15 building what was up until not too long ago the ultimate fighter. I think…
The only thing that really should be missed is the V8 rumble. It is going to suck not having that, but the performance will more than likely be a whole lot better. Lighter weight engine and body and more power and torque to boot.
I would not consider the Challenger a sportscar. A muscle car hell yeah all day long. A GT sure why not. But definitely not a sportscar. It is too heavy and can't handle well enough to be called a sports car. I'm not saying it is not a great car mind you I am just stating an opinion, which itself is worth about as…
They cited the LS3 in their info, but the numbers are pulled from the Audi RS5 engine. Someone somwhere at SIN screwed the pooch on this one. The numbers screamed european NA V8 to me. The torque and horsepower is exactly what Audi cites for the RS5.
The hp and torque figures match up perfectly with the 4.2 V8 in the Audi RS5. I think they used those numbers and somewhere in the press release said that the LS3 was the engine that they were using in the actual car.
If it were a cammed engine, wouldn't it make a lot more hp than "just" 450? I mean in stock form the e-rod which is emissions compliant makes 430hp and 424 ft-lbs of torque. The rpm for the power hp numbers also seems way off. Wait! Bingo! The power and torque numbers are from the Audi 4.2 V-8 in the RS5. I knew…
The .357 with the exception of custom made pistols like the Coonan 1911 really can't be shot out of semi-auto pistols due to the case length. The case is too long therefore it would require a very large and unweildy grip. But in the event that you do have equal barrel lengths, same ammunition, and same conditions. …
