Not to go full geezer (I’m not quite 60) but in my youth every kid had a part-time after school job to earn a few bucks for fun, saving for a car, etc. All the fast-food, waitressing, and retail sales jobs in my town were held by high school kids.
We were standing for the pledge everyday in the late 90's through the early aughts. If you didn’t you got major side-eye from the teachers (and by side-eye I mean you got singled out for minor infractions). I had an inkling that I didn’t have to, but it was recited over the school wide PA everyday.
I’ll start the madness. Turbo and a manual, looks fairly well kept. I can see 3500 in this market, especially for something with a dollop of interesting.
Same. Whenever I see a car with a flag bumpersticker or a twitter handle with a flag, I think, “this is a person to be avoided.” (Same thing goes for anyone who loudly refers to themselves as a “patriot”.)
I know too many people who aren’t Trump supporters, but who have American flags up or around, to ever make this association. Now, the Gadsden flag is another matter entirely.
[T]he American flag has been hijacked as code for a specific belief.
This...is a weird take. It was funny to see conservatives become outraged over an op-ed by Macy Gray about changing the flag. But her arguments are not convincing. The flag itself doesn’t have inappropriate connotations, nor would a different flag change any of the systemic problems in this country. MAGAs have tried…
Has anyone reported on what a lack of player availability to the media does to TV contracts?
No shit, Sherlock.
This works in places where driving in general is much less necessary and is often an expensive luxury item.
I don’t know what led Teigen to so hatefully treat the 16 year-old years ago, and I don’t know enough about this to understand most of it, but I can say with no doubt that there is not one person commenting here that wants any of us to be made aware of their worst moments.
Total door replacement surgery is the easiest solution.
Neutral: How are you?
I swear Americans don’t have enough real issues in their lives.
Since you’re here to gatekeep any negative feedback on the article... Maybe we can say the same thing about Meghan (or likely the “person who makes the article titles as click-baity as possible) calling parents “Toxic” rather than something following their own advice about labels. Except that’s not what we do. We…
Wow. I call my kid picky, so now I’m a “toxic parent”? Is it possible we’re maybe going a little too far with the labels here, hmm?
Twitter was a mistake.
I’m well-aware of these situations, and well-aware of the danger in stopping on a narrow shoulder. As I said, my m.o. is to pull over first and then have to cop make that decision for me (to drive forward, into more open territory) than to make that call myself. Everything about a police stop is fraught, so there’s no…
