The obvious solution is to do what my town does with its busiest intersections; include the crosswalks as part of the traffic signal cycle when the button is pressed, then the lights are red in all direction and the crosswalks are green in all directions.

I have to say that you’re in an interesting minority using a home computer or laptop but not owning a cell phone. Even if you’re not using it for the internet, they’re kind of ubiquitous.

A computer however does not make a great phone.

I like enough different genres and eras of music that I can find what I want to listen to in the music channels on SXM, and I also like news/talk/sports. And if all that fails me, I still have hundreds of songs on my phone that I can resort to.
