IMO, short of Alex Zanardi or Billy Monger, there are enough fatal crashes that a list like this shouldn’t include any non-fatal crashes. The whole poll subject is a bit ghoulish.

By the time it gets dark at Daytona or Sebring or Le Mans, drivers have been driving for a while, crews have been crewing for a while, and you go into the hardest part of the event tired. Doing the night driving while somewhat rested (relatively speaking) actually seems like a halfway good idea.

It wasn’t all that long ago that the wife’s family’s church wouldn’t marry us because I wasn’t Catholic and we were already living together. We had a friend of a family member do the honors, and haven’t set foot in a Catholic church since.
