There is a BIG difference between making racist comments, mentioning that racist comments are being made, and noting that racist comments are being made elsewhere as a comparison. Only if you’re a simpleton was I introducing race to the conversation.

What escalated? I’m not accusing anyone here of anything, nor questioning their motives. Mentioning that there are some racist comments being made on another website isn’t “mentioning race”. Go have a look for yourself. I’m not bring race into anything.

This is nothing. The unabashed racists are out over on Motorsport.

Lewis didn’t clip Max. Max turned in, assuming Hamilton had backed out. This is a move Max has done countless times before. Only this time the car on the inside didn’t back out.

I agree.

This incident is a side effect of the reconfiguration they did to Silverstone several years ago. In the good old days, Copse was Turn 1, so you were approaching it at a much slower speed, and much of this would have been settles in Maggots, Becketts and beyond before coming back around a corner can IIRC can be taken

This engine is unrelated to Dieselgate. It’s a No Dice for other, more fundamental reasons.

An original, rust-free Mk1 Scirocco is easily worth the asking price. The problem is that everything this seller has done to this one has reduced its value.

The engine choice alone turns this from a Nice Price into a No Dice.

This isn’t a TDI. It’s an IDI.

If you can’t ID the computer, at least you can guesstimate time on site by how many times a user met the

Automakers Are Leaning In On Their Moneymakers And Raking It In

I’ve officially run out of outrage over these tactics. If someone is dumb enough to pay the mark up, whatever. If the dealer can get this price, more power to them. They probably won’t.

You’re probably right, and I’m not all that invested in the conversation to try and find new car pricing in China or Belarus. That was the explanation I was given by the sales manager when I asked about why Porsche was so crazy about it. Audi was too, but like everything else in my experience at that dealer group;

You’re not wrong, but the simpler answer is that these cars are exported to countries where a similar car sold locally would cost a LOT more. And since it doesn’t cost the manufacturer any more to manufacture the car for any particular market, you’re eating into sweet, delicious profits.

True, but that is between the buyer and the taxation authority. The dealer may or may not be required to collect sales tax for the state the vehicle is supposed to be registered in. If the buyer presents themselves as being resident of a state with no tax, and registers the vehicle in that state, the dealer is in the

I look at it from the perspective of “make sure NASCAR still exists”, you seem to looking at it from the perspective of “they’re trying to make profit margin higher”.
