I'm stoked tonight because I got approval from both bosses to take time off to go home at the end of the month.

One of my friends thinks she's a feline specialist. She probably didn't want to deal with dogs at all, but had the unlucky fortune of being there when there were no other vets around.
He IS a big goofy doofus. I call him Big Baby Blockhead because he's always crashing his big numb skull into hard objects and generally acting a fool. He tries eating the little lizards on the street, chases leaves, and just flings his toys around until my other dog joins him.
Yeah, I started looking for a new one right away. Thankfully, a friend of mine has a 90lb pit who was able to recommend a veterinarian to me. I will be bringing my boy there from now on.
My Rott has whipworms, which I didn't even know existed until yesterday.
Having been laid off myself nearly 7 months now, I can assure you that when the dust settles, you'll be OK. It gets a little easier. You might not go back into the field you were just in, but it'll all work out. Deep breaths, and take a few days to let yourself find a little clarity. Good luck.
I had a busy and awesome day today. Taught spin, went to the pool, saw my new client, went back to the pool, was approached by a prospective client there... took some silly photos with friends. We went to a new restaurant, which was dog friendly so my Chunk came with me. And now, I'm catching up on Jezebel, eating…
Sixth grade was rough. He was a real turd. The worst part? He'd taught my dad math, so there's 30 years worth of traumatized students out there just from this guy alone.
I am terrible at math. I also had a teacher tell me that I was stupid in front of the class for saying I didn't understand an example he'd written on the board.
This comment isn't going to be ground-breaking discourse, but:
Awesome, thank you!
Where did you find it? I love the stuff you get in restaurants, but have not been able to mimic it. What brand of tea/varietal did you get?
That's good news to hear. It just so sad to see him all mopey and in pain, when usually he's such a happy playful little guy.
My Chunk got neutered today. He's snoozing in his crate, and meanwhile, I feel ant-sized for inflicting this kind of ouch on him. I know in the long run it's better for him, behaviorally, but short-term I feel like a big jerk.
His dungarees make me hung-a-ree
Air plants are gorgeous! I keep killing mine in various ways (too much water, not enough sun, death by rottweiler), but they're so pretty.
Taught my first spin class today. It went swimmingly, and I received a lot of positive feedback. I was SO anxious about it. Now, I'm on my way to the bar where I work til ...??am. Hopefully the gremlin-y spring-break kids leave me lots of tips so I can pay rent on Tuesday.
My avatar is my face— just when I was bleached blonde.
They really are! Poor things get a bad rap. (Well, really all dogs on the "Dangerous Breeds" list do.) My boss has one who hangs out with me while I'm at work, and he's such a good ambassador for his breed. Silly, social, happy, friendly... a little naughty, but he's only 9 months.
Ah, the vet's office pets... usually a little less ...big. It's awesome he's got them —good exposure for the well-behaved nature of the breed. Does he have a large reception area? Or are the three of them like mine— unhappy unless he's right on top of the other dogs in a puppypile?
