I actually genuinely think Invasion is one of the best depictions of an alien invasion I’ve ever seen out of Hollywood. Humans knowing fuck all what the aliens want? Check. Weeks or months until the invasion is actually confirmed globally? Check. Tactical destruction of military and strategic targets? Check. No

You have enough time to hear and react to the enemy behind the corner if you walk slowly with shield raised. You only get rekt if you run past him to get stabbed in the back.

None of FromSoft’s previous games have had any “cheap bullshit” really. They have things that aren’t nice, but if you approach almost every encounter slowly and methodically you’ll triumph more often than not.

D2 was good. It was everything they promised. The only complaints I’ve seen are from some of those strictly-offline people who expected something along those lines. Seeing as that title was their latest release I won’t discount the great work those people put in just because its release timing was shitty. Most people

It’s almost shocking how unwilling they are to realize that none of what they’re doing requires NFTs, and that all of it is simply more complicated and inefficient by using them.

I’m pretty sure Crunchyroll was airing only illegal fansubs in the very beginning. It’s been like 15 years so I don’t quite remember the details but I was surprised to hear of their agreements with various companies to simulcast etc. The stuff came much later. I had long written them off as “will get sued to oblivion

Their latest IP was Overwatch which was (is) stellar. The remake of Warcraft 3 was shoddy and rushed, but the remaster of Diablo 2 was pretty dang good. I don’t think they’ve released much other stuff apart from WoW things.

I mean, it makes sense for the plums to ripen as time goes on.

This is very true. They are or have been very good at nailing the core “fun” of specific genres and really honing in on that. A lot of current survival games have tons of bullshit arcane inventory management and crafting. Valheim succeeded for me personally because it removes a lot of that stupid bloat.

Too late, they’re going to be churning out dozens of new properties over the next few years.

Yeah. An NFT of a program license just means that the NFT is only valid as long as the server it’s pointing to is still running.

There’s nothing positive to write about NFTs in games. If someone actually manages to come up with some good use for them along with a mining system that is energy efficient and that won’t get exponentially worse over the years, then maybe there will be positive words to say.

With the viewer as the cuckee? I’m surprised it doesn’t exist yet.

Watch out, some day “virtual cucking” will become an actual trend.

Not my image but I found this where someone has calculated what he’d make in various scenarios of being fired.

Being a fucking jackass isn’t a necessity. It’s a choice.

It was a really great episode, exactly why I listen to it.

After he became trending on Twitter and a whole hate storm? Oh, they’re talking about it.

I’m primarily an audio only listener so I usually don’t see that stuff. But yeah, where I’m from you don’t wear hats or sunglasses or shoes indoors unless you’re a douchebag. I realize that this is not true in the US, but I wish it were every time I see it.

It all makes sense now.
