A lot of cool stuff happens in the post-release patches though, as I recall.
Seems like the kind of game I hope does well enough for the studio to make another game, with lessons being learned. Sounds like the game would’ve been better off if they had cut out a handful of those features and just polished the rest. Inexperience combined with ambitious young devs seems as likely an explanation…
Super neat. Being able to enjoy those features on PC as well is actually quite cool. Nice that they’re not keeping that proprietary but rather something any game dev can tap into.
A developer who wishes to remain anonymous, but who is surely one of the four people listed on that credits screen.
It’s technically way more accurate in its directionality since they can fully simulate where sound is coming from, both 360 degrees around you and above/below, by modulating the sound and the timings. Since the PS5 has a dedicated co-processor for this they can do incredibly heavy sound calculations without bogging…
Tots and pears.
I thought OW2 was meant to be compatible with OW1? Did they change that plan or are these changes coming to the original game as well?
There’s more than one channel on Twitch.
Loving the voice lines they put in too. Instead of Gadouken he’s like “NANI!?” because he’s also not expecting a powerful move to come out :D.
Fun tidbit: Jogen (上弦 Jougen) and Kagen (下弦) are lunar phases. They’re both half moons, but refer to which side is currently lit.
I’m watching a playthrough of the game on youtube and while the rest of the game has some jump scares and hand-shit, THIS place man, oof. The way it takes away all your power and slowly escalates. My heart was pounding (unlike anything I’ve ever experienced watching a video) during the final sprint to the elevator.
I wonder if Berserk managed to reach anything resembling an end by vol 38? The whole Fantasia arc felt like a fairly clean break and a reasonable stopping point, but it’s been a good while since that started and now plot threads have begun since then.
Fewer people care about this than you might think.
The appropriate age restriction is obviously TBD and depending on content, I’m just saying that maybe having one at all might be good.
On the one hand, I agree. 18+ is ludicrous. On the other hand, you DEFINITELY see a huge difference in maturity and quality/usefulness of conversation from the 25-35 demographic compared to e.g. the 10-18 group.
Sure. But at least if you require an actual picture of an ID or registering a credit card or something you can make it a bit of a pain in the ass that no spoiled pre-teen is going to bother with.
“I’m trying to reach males 25-34 who like big tibbies.”
I think what a lot of fighting game naysayers also don’t realize here is that a LOT of GDQ runs are actually pretty mediocre, but that the couch commentary is what makes them shine. While a particular game might seem very easy and straightforward when played by a skilled player, it is often the context provided by the…
What we really need to get away from is using “race” when referring to different skin colors on humans.
