I definitely was taken aback by that.

I can’t say about Weiner, but Clinton absolutely did cheat. Several times. He’s also been accused of rape and sexual harassment. I have very, very strong feelings about Bill Clinton, and they aren’t generally warm, fuzzy ones.

What are you talking about? He is married. To a VERY powerful, human rights attorney, who also is not white.

Were there too many debates in 2008? God, yes. There is a happy medium between that and this, though. Who schedules debates on a Sunday night after playoff football and directly competing with a show that likely appeals more to your voter base than the other party’s? A person who wants people voting on name

He’s actively working to re-write strong lead roles from male to female, so that’s something. Maybe he will work to do the same with races (which should be quite simpler in most cases). However, I think you do him some injustice with this list. The family in The Decendents were not intended to look native or part

Will Smith. Easy.

No, it didn’t. It’s a ridiculous inclusion on this list, as are some other things conveniently overlooked or overstated about the listed movies.

Stallone was excellent in it, too. I don’t think he is undeserving at all. I am very disappointed that Jordan and Coogler did not also get recognition for their work. Some people think Tessa Thompson should have been nominated, too, but I’m less inclined to agree on that front. She was good, sure, but I don’t think

I think calling out the Academy for lack of diversity is very important. I think examining why this is happening and are studios not doing enough to promote diverse actors is important. I don’t think it is merely “old white men are racist blah blah”. That is certainly a factor, however the studios actively and heavily

I haven’t seen it yet, because that’s totally a Netflix movie, but all the reviews seem to agree that he’s pretty good in an okay but kind of melodramatic, boring movie. So, he did a pretty good job, the movie doesn’t suck, but it’s not so great either.

Michael B. Jordan should have been nominated.

That was talked about a lot here, actually.

But think of the platform it will give him for really pointed, biting jokes and commentary! I can’t see him missing that golden opportunity.

I found it interesting that Smith was uninterested in helping her with her contract dispute (according to her).

Yes, but Gaga also writes all her own music, plus music for other artists like Britney Spears, Adam Lambert, and The Pussycat Dolls. I know not everyone likes her music, but it’s not like she’s unfamiliar with songwriting. I respect Linda Perry’s career, but I feel like this was not something she needed to chime in

Any Christian who thinks Trump, or any other Republican candidate in this current field, is the “godly” choice doesn’t know squat about what Jesus would do.

Do I think every woman is capable of drugging and raping someone? No. I don’t think every man is capable of that, either. Most people would never dream of that. Do I think a woman is equally capable of pressuring a guy into sex or going further than the guy is comfortable with because they a) don’t care or b) think

Not every man will rape, but yes, every man is capable. The excerpts from this very thread demonstrate that. Why is every man capable? Because what the man thinks is rape is often not at all what the woman believes it is, and many will think they are genuinely committing a consensual act. I don’t think most men are

I strongly disagree with anyone “deserving” a win because it’s “their turn”, and I am completely done with dynastic presidencies. However, if she gets the nomination, she will get my vote, because even a President who I only marginally support is vastly better than a Republican one.
