The most elegant RBF of all time.

Ha, well no, they need to be held, fed, changed etc much more than older kids. Older children can be engaged in group activities, hold hands in line, and are independently mobile.
Most states require significant training to work in a licensed center, and the rates of pay go up with the level of education. 90 hour certificates are the norm for your average caregiver, but curriculum directors and center directors generally have to have an Associate’s or even BA in early childhood ed.
No, it’s absolutely true. Daycares LOSE MONEY on the 3, 4, and 5 year olds. The overhead is unbelievable.
I’m grateful that I can choose to go back to work in a few years in a childcare position, and it’s only possible because my husband’s income can support our family. It’s not possible to support a family on a caregiver’s income, but more and more education (which costs money of course!) is being required of them. I…
Generally they can, but it’s at reduced cost not free, and only when space is available. Most centers run on wait lists, especially for infants.
That is determined by the state. Some states do a better job than others. Here in MD it is a fairly low child to caregiver ratio. The highest in daycare is about 6-1, for babies it’s 3-1. This is a very good ratio. There are some states that have 6-1 ratios for infant care, 12-1 for older child care which is INSANE.
It’s extremely expensive to run daycare centers. Most centers actually lose money on the older children, which is why you get charged so much for babies despite providing most of what they need during the day. It’s an unfortunate truth that they have to overcharge that age group to make up the difference. I returned…
I switched my affiliation to Democrat specifically so I could vote for Sanders in the primary. If you plan to vote in the general and have the opportunity to try and get your candidate to the general election, why not take it?
Voting should not be this difficult. It’s amazing the things we are able to fuck up in this country.
Camera flash times 1000?
You stated, “She got kicked out because she’s gorgeous.” While yes, she is a very pretty girl, clearly they all are. I don’t think they couldn’t handle her beauty. That was my point. I actually typed that in the post but it appears to have been deleted.
It’s always been Vivien Leigh for me.
“Booty snatcher”?
The other girls on the team voted on the hairstyle. Reading the original article and watching the news clip, the coach says they would have worked something out but it never got that far because the mother was nasty in their meeting. He dropped her from the squad due to her mother’s negativity (he claims). Frankly I…
That is my nightmare. I had a tubal 7 years ago and earlier this year I skipped 2 cycles. I’ve never, EVER, missed a period unless I was pregnant. I think I took 20 tests between the first missed period and it finally showing up.
My friend’s daughters do that. Their squad has the tight spring curled ponytails, and her girls sleep in the rod curlers that twist around.
It’s only for a single routine. The squad voted for straight ponytails for that routine. Other ones they have curly hair. At practice they can have curly hair. They have not banned anyone from having curly hair at their gym. It’s the same as saying bun instead of ponytail, or two braids instead of a bun.
That’s how I stopped biting mine as well! My nail polish collection is rather extreme, haha. I have had them pretty long, but after kids they are more brittle and break if they get a half inch past my fingertip. It does feel weird when one breaks below the fingertip, though. Like my skin is more sensitive lol.
I had a babysitter when I was a kid whose aunt was younger than her. It really blew my 6 year old mind.
