“Good idea” is such a narrow concept.
“Good idea” is such a narrow concept.
I disagree. Keep the spotlight on them. Letting them hide this shit behind closed country club gates and the like is how it keeps being acceptable.
I’m with you on the electoral defeats, though. Anyone who welcomes this kind of supporter has no place in public office.
I too blame Fox News. That’s “media,” right?
Honestly, it looks like most of this stuff is actually coming in September.
So, just like every other person in the administration. Got it.
This is not new. When I first went to college back in 1992, there were families I knew of doing this.
Nothing is good beyond the styling. Well, the engineering of the chassis and body structure is pretty impressive. But really, that’s it. Build quality is slapdash, too.
How about a mid-engine sports car that was Camry based? They could call it, I don’t know, the Toyota Supra?
Putting an ICE driveline in it wouldn’t be that hard, or expensive. These were designed around the Mercedes OM601 engine, and you should be able to find one of those for relatively cheap.
I voted NP for the cowboy hat.
If I wanted an assembly line to build garbage, there are cheaper ways.
Seriously. I’m a mechanic at an indy shop that services and repairs Astons. They are, without a doubt, one of the prettiest cars you can buy. But mechanically? Crap. And you can forget about service support. Even the dealers can’t work on them.
They’re lucky they didn’t have a mysterious Tesla fire.
CP, mostly because it’s an ‘89. Not a fan of the engine management systems that year. Also, do you know how much those hubcaps cost?
Best car in current production worldwide. The only thing that beats it all time is the 1957 Eldorado Brougham.
1. Fastback hardtops are amazing.
2. Gull wing hard tops wouldn’t work on little British cars, because there’s so much damned variance in body shells. What aligned on one car very likely wouldn’t on another, even if they were a single chassis number apart.
You and I must have different definitions of “great to drive.”
Speaking as a mechanic, you’re not really paying for the work we do. You’re paying for the expertise and our cost of doing business. How many different diagnostic tools do you have? Can you read an ignition scope and tell what’s happening in the cylinder from the plug firing line?
It’s just like going to a doctor.
Running NA Miata with the 1.6 and a clean title for $2500? NP. Rattlecans are cheap. This is real close to “eff it, why not?” money for a fun little car.
None of this is new.
I love it, and I hate BMWs. That said, Crack Pipe all day long. Once again for those in the back: modifications do not increase value!
