Warner Bros. I assume, at least now.

You know what they say, the makeup makes the movie.

The filming style in that movie compared to Verhoeven's style in other films did make me realize how generic the cinematography in French films can be, they just have a different set of go to stylistic devices.

Yes!!! #yearofMahershalaAli

How the hell was Dav Patel considered eligible as a Supporting Actor? That's some of the most blatant category fraud I've ever seen.

Such a great joke he ended up using it twice more w/ Elle and Captain Fantastic!

Is the opening speech always this awkward and self aggrandizing? This whole thing already feels extremely half assed and embarrassing.

The only other show I've seen improve this much each season was Angel, which makes sense given that this has similar producers. Much like SHIELD, it started out as a kind of generic, awkward spinoff, and by the final season it became one of the most bold, daring, and moving series I've ever seen.

She's been on a pretty great roll the last few years, delivering excellent performances in Still Alice, American Ultra, Cafe Society, and (especially) Clouds of Sils Maria. I've also heard she was good in Certain Women, though I haven't seen it yet, and suspect that Assayas will get another strong performance out of

I thought he was embarrassingly bad in Pacific Rim: he doesn't do that kind of hammy well and just comes off as amateurish. His line reading was so stilted and unnatural.

It's not like Idris Elba has anything better he could be doing… I don't know if he's just bad at picking roles or not being offered a lot, but his movie career is kind of terrible. Ten years later he's still coasting on how great he was in The Wire.

There's quite a few more:

I feel like it's probably too early to really judge about anything released in the last five years. I mean Spotlight was last year, of course it hasn't faded from memory.

Presumably it was aired on tv. Plus Trump has been a pop culture figure for forever. It's the natural result of a celebrity becoming president.

I'd say that Season 3 is the best: S4 was a big dip in quality for me aside from a handful of episodes, a lot of that season really felt like filler, and the inconsistent "cover identities" didn't make a lot of sense. 5 benefits enormously from the shorter episode order, focusing tightly on the central characters, and

They'll be releasing it on Blu-ray at some point. You can also add Showtime on to a Amazon Prime or Hulu subscription for 8 dollars a month and cancel whenever, and I believe the first month is free. If you don't have either there's also a standalone Showtime service for 12 dollars a month. It's not an enormous cost

Defining Lynne Ramsay as a genre director is definitely a bit of a stretch though.

Seems like she has a way of not letting him in, at least for a period of time, since she has similar powers to him. Though I very much doubt they're going to fully explain this super-psychic power or have it make any sense: it probably won't even be relevant anymore by the time we get to the finale.

He revealed the exact theme for every season other then Roanoke well ahead of time? Even that one he had already given away in an interview before he decided to make it "secret".

You're not alone, I love that section too! For me the main problem with the book is that it opens with that really boring and never ending section where Lyra is being kept in a kind of coma by Mrs. Coulter. That stuff goes on way too long and just makes for a really dull beginning for a book. I love almost everything
