The hell? What happened? Some of the AV Clubbers had a get together in DC in memory of E Buzz, and I know quite a few people here were pretty broken up about the whole thing. That's amazingly fucked up that someone would go to those kinds of lengths for whatever reason. It looks like Opera Punk's Twitter has been

How about "Spy Kids 5: Jaden and Willow Smith v. Harley Quinn Smith - Dawn of Nepotism" (written by Robert Rodriguez's kids)?

Yale? I'm amazed that Elena even graduated high school on time, given that she never seemed to go to class her last two years in school. She probably only got into Whitmore because of the connection with her parents. Plus "How I dealt with my adoptive parents, birth parents, aunt, and brother (though he came back to

I still love how Tyler insisted that "no one would forgive him for this" when Damon killed him. And we were all rolling our eyes, because of course no one will really care. And hardly anyone has so much as mentioned Tyler since they found out Damon killed him. That whole thing was ridiculously pointless.

I'm just imagining ALL those people coming back. Imagine if Alaric suddenly had to deal with Jo, Jenna, and Isobel all at once! I'd watch that sitcom.

Was Stefan actually admitted to the hospital? Caroline stole antibiotics, etc. for him for some reason and it didn't even really seem like he ever saw a doctor. I know he's possibly a criminal fugitive at this point, but surely Caroline could just compel everyone at the hospital to not call the cops or show

I love how Cade seems to have no motivation whatsoever, other than that he's really lazy and loves to manipulate the main characters into running really petty errands for him that he could easily accomplish on his own in no time. Is there anything he actually really wants? I guess to destroy the earth with hellfire or

I think they used to have it on Netflix, but it's now on Hulu, as they seem to have bought the rights to all things Cartoon Network.

Actually I was kind of wrong here: she didn't insist on writing it herself, she actually insisted on having her husband, a British tv writer, write it. So she removed a female writer/director in favor of men producing her work.

Oooooh there was one reason: $$$$$$

Because the studios allowed EL James to have way too much control over these movies for some reason. She insisted on writing the screenplay to this one herself after getting upset about moderate changes from the source material in the first film.

Funny how Franco seems to have convinced his "Why Him?" costars to shoot a few scenes during the production of that film… Zoey Deutch is apparently in this as well as Cranston.

Oh man, you guys ended up with a good run of episodes here. I'd say this is easily the best streak of episodes in the series to date, pretty much every one is an instant classic. The "Textmergency" is probably the single most relatable moment in the show for me. And god, every instance of "This is what happy feels

Yeah I rewatched the pilot with some new people recently and there was a lot of cringing and shouting at the screen during that scene.

That was actually about halfway through the pilot…

I really hope they go down that route… I was frustrated when they almost immediately broke up the girl squad after establishing it, so that shot of the four of them standing together made me very happy.

At least they fridged a white guy and not the black girl?… Yeah I guess it shouldn't really get points for being less fucked up than it could have been.

I like how you're suggesting that The Originals "went downhill" as soon as it premiered :-P. While the departure of The Originals left a bit of a charisma gap in the show, I thought it was probably wise to lose them: Klaus felt increasingly shoehorned in during the fourth season and I think TVD would have gone

But… they can just take the cure from Elena? Then again she was only a vampire for a couple years so I suppose they wouldn't have to worry about time catching up. But then Damon was also planning to take the cure from Enzo but I guess he would be already old/dead then? And the cure can only be used from someone's

Yeah I thought this was a fantastic episode, probably the best since Season 6's "The Downward Spiral". It was really a return to the twisty unpredictability that the show has struggled to regain consistently ever since Season 4 or so. Really hope they stick the landing with the next few episodes.
