It wasn't even midway through S1… he left before the script for the pilot was even complete.

You don't really seem to know what you're talking about in respect to the writers. First off Hagai Levi only received a story credit on the pilot, that's it. He left the show before it started filming.
It's really, really good (though certainly flawed) but you'll probably mostly be baffled at first. It's very, very different in tone from the series, landing closer in tone to somewhere between Wild at Heart and Inland Empire. It has some of the best images and sequences of Lynch's entire career though, and really…
Alaric's return has been such a disaster. Once of the strangest choices in the series history for sure.
Fracturing the relationships between their core characters as much as this show did in it's last two seasons was really a strange choice. When you lose your central character you focus on the other meaningful relationships between your characters, don't split them all up and have them constantly antagonizing each…
Yeah as frustrated as I am at how little time they spend together, I'm really glad they didn't Steroline them, as that would have completely destroyed everything I love about their relationship. Their scene together this episode was a great example of writing a reconciliation scene that was solely about friendship…
Vicky's death was really the turning point that made me fall in love with the show: it proved that what seemed like a pretty toothless (heh) teen vampire drama up to that point actually had balls, and set the template for the crazy twists and turns this show became famous for (for a while). I don't think the show has…
Why are there not more Damon/Bonnie moments in this show? If the show wants to make me emotional, all it has to do is drop in a Damon/Bonnie scene, it works every goddamn time. They should be one of the most frequent pairings on the show at this point (ditto Alaric/Damon). At least there was a reason for their…
You probably don't realize this but equating kinks with sexual orientation is kind of offensive. Being a furry or into BDSM in no way makes you part of the LGBT community… those are pretty separate things.
Sonnenfeld is a director and Fuller is a writer, so this comparison doesn't quite work.
Yeah I actually think SHIELD is probably the best superhero show at the moment. There's really yet to be a truly great superhero show though, or even one that isn't massively flawed.
Between Scream and working on the best seasons of The Vampire Diaries he gets a lifetime pass in my book.
Am I the only one who actually likes this show? I actually think S3 is a big step up from the second season. That said it really does not need a fourth season, I was hoping this season would be the final one. The main thrust of the story seems to be over and I worry that with four seasons (or more???) they'll just…
I'm still mad at that show for completely wasting Amy Acker and preventing her from being a regular on Dollhouse.
Huh, I thought the course correction only maybe worked for five or six episodes, and then they went back to making all the same mistakes over again. The last few episodes of S4 were just as bad as S3's.
Check out Farscape! It's also just one of the best scifi shows ever to boot.
And for what? It's not like she had to do anything physical in the role.
It makes more sense if you read the review. The band is a supergroup and the reviewer is saying they're at their best when they find their own unique sound, rather than mashing up the sounds of the respective groups they're known for.
Probably April 30th, but there's no official date yet.
Adaptations of popular musicals always take forever to get produced because of the fear that an available adaptation will discourage ticket buyers. Ergo, stuff like Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables not being adapated until 20+ years after their debut.
