More than 24 hours for what? Nothing is happening. I don’t think there’s much reason to expect anything will.  I’d love it if I’m wrong!  But I really think this particular thing is, oh dear god I’m going to use this phrase, a...nothingburger!   Oh jeez, I feel dirty now.

My point. Nothing is actually happening. At all.

Of course.  What does that have to do with Congress?

Showing up on the red carpet in PJs. Love it.

That would be great. But this is just a guy saying a thing. Guys and gals say things all the time. If some sort of reasonable, effective action or policy results at some point, you’ll hear no complaint from me.

It’s despair Soylent.  It doesn’t have to be logical.

You know what man? That’s fine. I want to see that movie too. It does seem like Congress has things orders of magnitude more important to deal with, but since it’s all y’all can do to even keep the government open these days, may as well put your attention in Wile E. Coyote. You do you brother. (sighs, shakes head and

Presumably while doing so you talked JUST...LIKE...THIS!

Second wave feminism and home video FFS!

A shame for many reasons, but I still think a Wile E Coyote/Roadrunner movie without Chuck Jones is like a Buster Keaton movie without Buster Keaton.

The Clean Air, Voting Rights, Occupational Health and Safety Acts, Roe v Wade, New Hollywood, All the President’s Men, Gravity’s Rainbow, Roots, classic work by John LeCarre, Ursula LeGuin and (if you like) Stephen King, Curtis Mayfield, Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock, Fela Kuti, Talking Heads, The Voyager Program, and

The man was a heroic martyr for the environment.

Or we could just let a near-perfect career be what it is and move onto to other things?  Just a suggestion.

Woody Allen is a foundationally influential figure a lot of people are in the process of rejecting culturally, to the point many would like him effectively erased him from cultural memory (avoiding a certain “c” word here). For obvious good reason. But it’s tough to do when someone’s work is SO influential, directly

It is a tad rough.

Honest to God contender for the least surprising revelation of this sort, ever. Which is saying something.

Another one today. Talking about use of the word “girth.” And that’s it. Nothing else. Not a just a little weird?

“You’re still fucking peasants” would have been an interesting lyrical addition to Twist and Shout.

That is sounds better than the Traveling Wilburys trying to keep time to a crappy demo is not a high standard, but it is a relief. Just on its own merits, it’s a good song melodically, with real emotional resonance and backing that sounds inevitably like Beatles pastiche but still pretty good. I’m not really honing in

Doesn’t seem like more than that to you?  And that it’s been going on longer than Killer Moon has particularly been on the horizon?  How many articles have you seen Greta Gerwig?  Just saying, the degree of focus seems to disproportionate to the newsworthiness.
