Yes that’s right. He didn’t take responsibility for his actions. He offered a textbook denial apology. That’s what I said. Was that not clear?

They were just trying to be friendly.
My time machine is broken, what’s the argument?
Is it though? When you say “seminal,” you’re talking about history. You’re not saying lots of people enjoy them, which is obviously true, you’re implying major, formative cultural influence. I just think among the artists of the 60s who were major cultural influences, the Monkees just don’t have the same heft. Of…
I think we all know the real culprit here was the one who, while at Harvard, smoked weed every day, cheated every test, and snorted all the yay.
Unless that concept’s too hard fo’ ya.
“Seminal?” Really? I mean, likeable for sure. They wrote some great songs and became a real band when they initially weren’t, and that’s great. But are we really putting them in Beatles/Stones/Hendrix/VU territory? Because that’s just not true.
It’s funny because my understanding is that Yankovic’s addiction issues extend to occasionally having a slice of cheese pizza despite aspiring to veganism. Guy’s a regular John Bonham.

But then at the end, to me, the quintessential Dylan [song] is “Rebel”...
I was all ready to make an attractiveness disparity crack but, no, Dick was handsome-ish.
“Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio?”
It’s true, when you take into account hits compilations, live releases, and the Bootleg Series, you fill in pretty much all the gaps. I can’t think of anything for ‘72, ‘77, and ‘99, but I think that’s pretty much it.
Aw man. He may have moved slow. But that’s because he didn’t have to move for anybody. RIP.
“The Respect Yourself singer is survived by his wife and five children...”
I don’t really understand the love for God Knows, but Born In Time is a mid-period winner. I’m torn because it sounds better with the Lanois treatment but the lyrics are better developed on UTRS. And the song UTRS is pretty good, benefitting from Harrison’s guitar work. Inside Out on the Wilburys album…
