“If you don’t report this on-air right now, Ken, I will cut this red wire connecting the power generators to the production truck.”

Adding: “will they till him if she dies before he raises?” was a storyline on the telecasts and throughout the Games.

One of my earliest sports memories is the Calgary Winter Games and Dan Jansen dealing with the death of his sister.

The Phil Pozderac Game. I was nine and my grandmom yelled at my granddad for getting me so riled up about a silly game. I may have threatened to harm Pozderac, who I’m sure is a fine man.

Those are my two favorites as well.

If you love Ellroy and Chandler-who are not at all similar-then chances are you’ll like adding another crime writer with a different style. I think his 70s-Detroit novels would be the best place for someone familiar with the genre but new to Leonard to start.

+1 with one quibble that while it may be down to LB carrying the flag, there are others following in their footsteps. Ken Bruen, Jason Starr, Roger Smith from South Africa, Joe Lansdale, and Dave Zeltserman are a few that come to mind.

The Detroit novels from the 70s are my favorite Leonards, but I’ve read and enjoyed them all, some more than once.

So dumb.

Decent Balk imitation. Kudos.

Annoying ads are the worst. Bovs. This seemed like a moral issue

Sincere question: why are you opposed to this?

Verdict: the Pope is not catholic.

In honor of this, I must ask: why are they speaking in English?

Inappropriate contact with a faculty member? This could be interesting.

hate myself for laughing at that, but I did

Officer: You’re going to the J-Block!

“Look at him and tell me what the similarity is.”

Fuck. I wanted to get the quotation right.
