Yeah the Quicksilver death was very much Whedon’s reaction to fans pointing out the plot armor of damn near everyone in his movies. OK, someone’s not making it out alive.

IDK, Whedon has confessed to his share of lazy in Avengers too. Why do the Chitauri all die when the hole closes/bomb hits? “Because we needed it to be over.”
Jumping in only to agree. I remember the original discussions about whether Marvel movies would acknowledge Agents of Shield only to point out that Whedon isn’t even acknowledging any other MCU movies in AoU!
Thats not how it was used. It was used to validate him quickly so we could move on to the bang bang. I kinda agree with the jokes about an elevator lifting it. Does that make the elevator worthy?! I remember thinking “were they trying to point out a hole in their previous justification?” when they used that bit.
Did not care for the CGi action in GOTG2. That final boss fight was basically Zod-Supes just on a different planet but the same about of dust and smoke blurs with a side of daddy issues but hey the foreshadowing of “he killed my mom” for Civil War was nice.
Its way eaiser to cut when I’m taking it out of the 1.3M the dude just helped me win and not your life savings. Pay the man and you’re still walking with 1.17 million.
Or, did they just author a new script on how to deal with a player, parasitic agency and franchise? This is a warning shot, a leap in the evolution of how to respond to a hundred years of prestige teams picking over lesser market teams for the best and brightest.
Deandre will be bought out and suiting up for Houston or Golden State before the March deadline.
Oh yeah, my wife’s bestie found her dad’s old scrapbook over christmas. It included his cross country trip as a young man (conquests as it were) as well as pictures of his (surprise!) first wife, and his war wives. Wait, first wife thing was a family geneology ledger not a pic. The war wives were pictured. Dad’s still…
I had the same reaction thinking of all those ppl in committed relationships just leisure fucking as soon as the other is out of town.
I’d say so. Never appealed to me for safety reasons. it only takes one.
That practice isn’t limited to back then. I know guys in northern San Diego who make whole “social lives” out of ‘dating’ the girlfriends and wives of marines deployed out of Camp Pendleton.
Bits of fault all over, but agree that he wanted to change the way the Tags were handled and did so at least for himself. Few players will do what he did but even knowing there’s an option, that the Franchise offer doesn’t have to be enough, changes the landscape a bit. Until now it was jut assumed you get it, you…
I traded FOR him a few games into the season. Luckily, didn’t actually give away anything (Flacco and Ekeler for him and Russell Wilson). Then this past week I put out feelers and one guy, bless his heart, offered Deshaun Watson for him.
I put nothing past them, for sure. I think this will be different though. He has no fan-backlash reason for not signing him. He had a labor dispute with his team. Nothing new in the NFL. Chicago wasn’t scared off of paying Mack. The first thing they would do is pay him and assuage that problem. After that? He’s a Pro…
So much private money coming in to the DC area... Reminded me of Steve Jobs’ widow who bought a nice chunk of Monumental Sports (Wizards/Capitals/Capital One Arena).
Charlotte is fine enough, but they’ve completely funked the “International” piece of their business. Leaving Intl airport, we check bags. Go through security then we purchase goods duty free. Arrive Charlotte, go through customs and immigration. Then up an escalator to our connection and... more security? We just went…
First replay you could see him get to a point and decide to let go. He couldn’t see anything. If Brady did have the ball its that next part, bringing him to the ground, that gets the flag every time.
Came here to say that this is a play Carolina ran.I was thinking specifically it was Ryan Switzer’s move. He had one where he tried to draw a penalty by giving the fair catch wave at the snap of the ball too.
I admit when teh crackle came over the radio about a drug deal I didn’t want to bother. Players should be allowed to say “Nah, those people have enough problems.”
