Yeah, “Tron” deserves an entry of its own. Another overlooked gem is “The Last Starfighter,” the first film to use CGI for all of what would have been traditional miniature shots. Granted, the effects don’t hold up 39 years on, but they were dazzling at the time.

Spider-Man one will always hold the top spot for me. I love a good origin story. I love the perfecting casting of every role, the sincere, non cynical approach, the earnest performances, the montage of Spidey sightings in NYC, the introduction of J Jonah Jamieson, the mirror scene with Willium DeFoe, the love story,

I’m sure this sounds absolutely crazy, but you used to be able to buy a game at a premium price and it wouldn’t ask you for more money every few months. At most they’d sell you an expansion later, or a sequel, or an entirely new game.

Did you play Diablo 3 on launch?  The droprate was very obviously impacted by the presence of the real money AH, and that affected the flow of the entire game.  Ignoring the AH in no way solved the problems caused by the RMAH.

Agreed. It’s a fools game to think because you buy a car a few times a decade that you can out-negotiate a middleman who does it multiple times a day.

Right? All of these people thinking they actually pulled a fast one on the dealerships have such an illusion of grandeur I just cannot fathom.

The two purposes they seem to serve are:

Do we really need dealerships except to give some B league injured pro-baller something to do? Are they necessary? Do I need a salesman for everything in life?

Why not?  Cars are appliances to most people now.  We don’t haggle over the price of a washing machine.

Why not just report on what Netflix is doing? This was a weird way of delivering news. Literally zero details on the Netflix story. Were all users notified? Will they be following the same rules that were teased before? Did they make any changes to account for people who are in college or travel a lot?

It’s just nostalgia. The first move was also a flaming pile of too stupid for words garbage, but when you're 14, it's cool. It was never a good film.

The space program had 0% people that had landed on the moon, that’s why it failed, right?”

some people take their discard pile seriously.

flexing on everyone in the audience, recalled that his first film credit was in a Clark Gable movie.

Here’s the thing, Jedis are stupid.

If you are a fan of The Mandalorian, just watch the last 3 episodes of The Book of Boba Fett.

The DuckTales reboot is a thing of beauty. Everything about it is elevated, and dare i say better. The updated song is amazing. The writing on the show is top level, with some of the sharpest humour, the the point of having to stop and go “oh my god, i can’t believe they were able to get away with that”

Unless Loki himself appears in this film, I don’t think the show is really a prerequisite, but rather just the reviewer is the kind of person who gets offended by the existence of inside jokes.

Hmmm. Good review, but what I really want to know is: is this in any way like Star Wars?

interesting, but I wouldn’t go that far as to say they are bad. It’s like trying to rate Disney films from the 90s, none of them can be Lion King and Aladdin, but Goofy Movie isn’t wasting your time either.
