There was an episode of Babylon 5 where a pair of famous comedians (Played by Penn and Teller) visit the station and all the humans fawn all over the celebrities while the aliens try to understand what the big deal is.
The best part was that they comedians mostly just spout catch-phrases that are meaningless but

Or maybe it’s just out of fashion. In the USA we care about what was pop-culture during living memory, stuff from the early 20th Century, and then we cherry-pick a few creators from various eras and ignore the rest.
Outside of those prominent creators most pop-culture of the 19th century and before is just kind of

As I understand it, there have been several studies done that figure out which birds like which seeds, and that the biggest takeaway from all of them was that lots of birds like Black Oil Sunflower seeds. So it isn’t so much that it is the braindead way to go, just using Black Oil Sunflower Seeds has actually been

Many years ago I sat in on a seminar with a Feng-Shui expert. One of her central premises was that what Feng-Shui was really for was re-molding your life to remove all the bits of unneeded friction. She said she had trained formally and could go into the flows of energy and such, but that what she mostly did was tell

Let the Fandom Wars commence!!

B1: Lost the 3 kinds of bending she knew & needed spirit Aang to fix her Bending. Amon would have gotten away were it not for his brother.
B2: Villain destroys Avatar line on her watch. Recovering Airbending was an accident, not a goal of hers, and was an out-growth of the Villian’s plan

The fundamental problem with Korra is that the makers of the show had a lot less time and more ambition.
So lots of things feel forced or come out of left field but we as the audience are supposed to feel like it was a natural conclusion of what was going on.
Also: Korra is a terrible Avatar.  Her supporting cast

All of the EGpu chassis I’ve seen are at least the size of a shoebox, so not really portable either. You could probably get a Shuttle XPC Cube which would be the same-ish size for around the same amount.

The Author says toward the end that her mother was the Previous Miss America who couldn’t get the crown to pin. So I’m betting this incident looms large in the family history and everyone who knows them is super aware of it.
That most of us weren’t born yet, hadn’t heard about it and may appreciate the visual may have

Isn’t there a whole passage in the bible about not just assuming God will save you?
Ah, here it is:

My employer has had problems with USB-C docks and Dell Laptops. The Dock’s USB cables wore out & stopped gripping.

There has been a new generation of Dell Docks that seem to do better but we have still had issues.

See how you are doing in 9-12 months.

I’m really loving Travel Man. It’s on Hulu.

Richard Ayoade and a random British celebrity spend 48 hours pounding in all the sites and culture of one city within one days travel of the UK.  It manages to cover a lot of stuff with dry humor and a total disdain for leisurely contemplation.

Faerie Tale Theatre was uneven, but when it was on it was on. Jeff Goldblum as the Big Bad Wolf vs. Billy Crystal, Fred Willard, and Stephen Furst as the Three Little Pigs remains my *favorite* take on that story.

Alladin’s Wonderful Lamp was apparently Tim Burton’s first paid gig as a Director, and you can see his

I tend to agree with Straw Hat’s take on the Adora/Catra relationship.

There is a whole episode of Steven Universe Future where they go on a roadtrip and Greg shows Steven his childhood home and plays the 70stastic music that made him proudly give up suburban conformity for a life of living in a van on the beach.

Steven *LOSES IT* when he finds out that a sweet suburban life might have

I heard is was Ellison, not Asimov, but I’ve heard the same.

There is an old, probably apocryphal story about Gene Roddenberry lamenting to Harlan Ellison that Spock was becoming a breakout character but that for his format to work people had to really like the Captain.
Harlan supposedly advised Roddenberry to make them best friends. That way as long as they *acted* like friends

They basically re-shot a couple of scenes in it for the Abram’s Reboot flashbacks to Spock’s Childhood.

Didn’t Radar mostly run the post anyway?

There is also the very real possibility that he knew he wasn’t going to last as a leading man, wasn’t really interested in trying, and he and his management did what they could to secure him some big paydays while the hype lasted. He apparently *did* get 5 million for a movie not many people saw and is trying to get
