I dont think Corvette mufflers would fit. It wouldnt be until the summer, but I could have the car put on a lift and some pictures taken of the SL600 Sport exhaust.

I have an SL600 Sport. The wiring harness in the '97 is quite different from the '96 model year. Many updates happened in the cars, coil over plug, the sport package was introduced, and other updates.
I get that, and a couple of my friends have been dicks about it saying they thought it was a fox body or something else along those lines. Sure it pisses me off, but in the end, it's a whole lot better.
For the SL class that was remedied by 1997. The 97-01 cars did not have it. They aren't without their problems, but a huge amount of the wiring harness was changed for the 97+ R129 cars.
300SL and a few of the later, renamed, SL320 cars had the manual option.
I understand your feelings completely. However, it is amazing to see the look on someone's face when they think they can pull you from 60MPH. She may be quiet, but she's not getting run down by a silly little Mustang, she's a proper SL class.
Well, at least you'll be saving enough money to get some good looking wheels for it. Those wheels are hideous.
Oh you know, he's had plenty of experience driving air cooled bugs for a long time, even has graduated classes.
One year my car was iced into place. I let the car idle for a significantly long time, and when I finished my breakfast and went back out, heat was nice and toasty, all the ice under the car was melted and I had no problems whatsoever.
I'll roll into them. If they fail to maintain a safe following distance, that's not my fault. Also, you should be able hold the car with the clutch on an incline long enough to move your foot over.
Handbrake? If you can't work the clutch, I'm not sure a manual is for you. I don't claim to be perfect, but I never had trouble going up hills once I actually gained experience behind the wheel. Sure, when I first started driving, I had to go through this detour, and we'll just say that the hill was closer to a…
I have an R129 SL600 Sport, but I would consider a Koenig body kit if they weren't outrageously priced. I'd also want a good exhaust to match.
IT'S BAD FOR YOUR CAR!!!!
I'll certainly keep an eye out!
I fully agree with you. My 97 SL600 Sport I wanted to break 100k at Caffeine & Carburetors, but that isn't going to happen anymore. I'm a bit saddened by that.
Hot damn I'll take this one.
What you really want is a Koenig.
No way! Bergen is the only local one I haven't managed to go to last year. I've been hitting up the Morris County Cars & Croissants all summer, only missing more recent ones because of the cars giving me trouble.
What county? It appears as though we're much closer than I had originally thought!
I try to organize a meet once in a while with friends where there can be 5-10 of us typically, and it's no different in small groups as it is in big groups. Someone has to be the showoff. Luckily my local C&C (I have no part in organizing it), is very tame in part because there's no choice. A couple of meeting points…
