Still there? If so, what was the biggest personal challenge for you getting into endurance racing?

97 Benz SL600. Thing is a wild animal when you actually bury it.
i need to upload the latest photos of it, i had to makes some changes to it for performance, and new drives.
Xigmatek SD1283 Dark Knight II. Sitting on a pair of E5 Xeons. Stuffed (literally) into an NZXT Source 210 Elite. GTX660Ti 2gb and 32gb Registered ECC RAM. Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center pack.
Even better when it all works the first time too.
Total overkill you say? I rock a dual Xeon rig with 32gb of RAM and a 240gb SSD. But I went to school for Television, Radio and Digital Media production, so I needed a machine to get my work done, and also be able to make me competitive in getting things out the door. Necessary for work, evil to my wallet.
Most don't!
There's more than 2 Shelby Super Snakes. The "fine print" is that there's only two twin supercharged ones.
Think of how cool that would have looked if a vigilante truck appeared!
Only because I drive an SL600 periodically, I just can't agree. Yes, it needs to open up a little more, but it's more of a quiet GT style cruiser than an attention grabbing howler.
Relax, I just said necropost, I didn't carve a red letter into your chest. I just had a bunch of older posts get dug up the past two days, it's just weird when it happens.
Beater 600? 1) Necropost. 2) There's no beater 600. Those cars deserve to be treated very well. A beater one makes me feel sad. Don't screw one up. Fix it, and enjoy it like it's meant to be enjoyed.
All they really have to do is hand the keys over to a handful of 18 year-olds across the country for a month each and tell them to drive it like they stole it. They'd probably get more conclusive reliability tests...
Yes, deep down inside, I love the fact that I get to drive the grand-daddy to the Zonda. Probably as close as I'll ever get to driving one anyway.
The R129 SL600 is definitely a 6.0. I guess they dropped it after 2001.
I once looked up the cost to put new headers on it...nope, nope, nope.
I NEED that exhaust kit for the SL600. Dear lord does that cause a stir. The SL600 has the 6.0 M120, and it's exhaust (while understandably tame) deserves to be opened up a little.
It only had a 5.5? Was the 6.0 an optional package on these that you know of? I'm still getting the other Merc models down.
Yes. I can't recall most of the names of foods I've tried. Admittedly, it takes a long time for me to decide I'll try a new food. After a bad couple experiences, I just tend to stick by what I like that I know will stay down.
Considering my boss is Turkish, I understand all of this. Knowing the history of Turkey very well is also a big thing.
