Exactly, and if a ram stick does fail, it will probably do it right away, under the normal warranty period, and you just send/take your laptop to apple and they swap it for a new one.

I see, but you see my point here, right? The optical drive and ethernet are not vital for this machine. It's obviously not a good fit for your company, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't make a spectacular CAD machine.

I don't see the problem... 802.11n can hit 100mbit throughput.

If they reduced the GVWR to 25,999 you could drive it without a commercial license.

Not usually. Autodesk, for example, has all of their software available for download. After all, in an office environment, admins would not want to have to walk around to every user's machine just to distribute new software.

Oh, no way! That's awesome! Now if they would just let us use HTML signatures...

Pheh. You say your Suzuki GSX-R1000 has 191HP? You think that's powerful?! My Camry Hyrid is pushing 200HP all day.

Yup, Optibay for the win. My '08 Unibody still feels pretty fresh after an SSD upgrade and 1TB platter drive in the optical bay.

yeah, I understand. I'm used to work parlance, where "or equal" means just that.

I have a feeling this sentiment is exactly why they are continuing to sell the 'old' MBP with updated processors.

I didn't say 'the best' laptop, I said it has no equal. Very different things.

Someone will say it, so I'll just mention that the MBP does start at a higher price. But, you most certainly get what you pay for, and that's a laptop that has no equal from anyone.

(never mind)

That's a pretty good list, thanks!

The better question for me anyway, is do people really need first-party turn by turn nav?

What is the speculative list of marquee features this year? I haven't seen all that much. I feel like they always bring at least one thing to the table that everyone has been moaning about. Last year it was notifications, year before was Multitasking, before that, Copy/Paste, and before that 3rd party apps.

It just doesn't look as authentic without all the charred bits from repeated re-entries.

Dell Precision workstations price out pretty much the same. It's a workstation.

I understand that, and I'm sure the officers did too. At the time, they weighed the chances of being sued by these people against the chances of not catching the suspect, and made a judgement call. If someone does sue, so be it. Maybe they're justified, maybe not. That's for the courts to decide. As the comments on

Let's say you got in an elevator with a group of 19 other people. The police know for a fact that one of the occupants in the elevator is armed and just robbed a bank. If, when you were about to exit the elevator and go on with your day, the police detained you, and handcuffed you, explaining that they were looking
