The Democrats need to play it safe. Don’t run on a progressive platform, don’t run on abortion (which seems to be the only issue the right votes on), don’t run on impeachment (the answer should be “only if Mueller’s investigation uncovers high crimes or treason”, not “we’ll do it day one”).
