I READ THE DAMN ARTICLE JASON.
I READ THE DAMN ARTICLE JASON.
Hard to say as this article was written to tell us what it doesn’t do, even though the writer doesn’t know either.
Lol. You will likely be locked in the vehicle for your safety as well.
Underground high speed rail might be a little closer. High speed Level 4/5 in a purposely constructed tunnel is trivial. All the variables are controlled.
IIRC, it is the ultimate evolution of the limited access highway concept. We allow drivers to drive at 65-85mph on the interstate because of the lack of grade level intersections and with separations between lanes. The tunnel eliminates both and uses automated control.
None of us are worthy to hold Yeager’s jockstrap. And in our world of Drivers Assist, EULA’s, and FAA regulations, we will never see another one.
Also, do you realize how many times this has gone the opposite way? Go read some forum posts from Tesla owners and see how many times people have actually fallen asleep at the wheel and had the car either wake them up or pull to the side of the road.
Indeed.
Large manufacturers don’t generally want to be in the sales game
While I don’t fully disagree with your post, I think you percentages are way off. There are a LOT of sophisticated shoppers now days.
Actually, it’s simpler than that. Most people don’t follow politics. As such, when dipshit says he built the wall, they believe him. Who is to contradict him? They would have to dig deeper. None do.
And likely wont spend 4 hours a day watching TV.
You’re living in a dream. That’d be like saying, “Well if the Hellcat could just get fuel economy up to 100mpg, there wouldn’t be the need for BEVs.”
IF EVs get charging times down to 5 minutes for a full tank, ICE is dead. The simplicity of the drive train results in better reliability and performance and less maintenance for the consumer. Once economies of scale progress, EVs will be much cheaper than their ICE counterparts to manufacture.

My biggest concern with ownership would be that somehow Gene Simmons would show up at my house and molest an animal or something.
I think a good direction for them would be a Miata clone. But, it’s not possible yet. They can’t really manufacture a smaller car with the current energy density of the batteries. My bet is that they are 5 years out from this form factor.
Yes, it’s shitty that Uber and Lyft don’t give the drivers better benefits.
The biggest problem with Tesla is Tesla owners.
Can confirm for shitboxes as well. I work in Subprime. Auction numbers are CRAZY high right now.
