Your charts shows a single CMOS camera. A stereo rig is fully capable of 3D topology reconstruction. Radar fails because it can’t be focused, which is the issue that Tesla has. lidar is even better, but can’t read signs which makes speed control impossible.

While I agree on the redundancy, they had serious problems mapping the radar to the vision system. To the point of the radar reflections being dangerous. Roads are designed for human vison and while radar/lidar have some serious upsides, they have significant issues as well. ie, radar and lidar can’t read signs.…
