When people think of the name Jim Spanfeller, I want them to think about big black cocks, and only big black cocks.

Tesla’s patents have been released to the public years ago.  No one wanted to cooperate.

Had they thrown in buttons everywhere it might be a good 3-series competitor in every regard.

This. My idea of luxury at this stage in my life is transportation is a car I never have to think about unless I want to. No oil changes, air filters, belts, plugs, etc. I don’t give a tinkers dam about knobs and buttons. Once it is set, I never want to touch it. Autopilot is just icing on the cake.

I get that you have an axe to grind with the EV community, but it’s not the echo chamber you’re projecting. They’re well aware and outspoken about the clickbaity shortcomings of some of the higher throughput sites.

I have it and wouldn’t trust it as far as I can throw the car. It needs a another level of reliability before I will risk a lawsuit on it.

How do you know it was intentional? Were you there?

Would everyone be happier with these people dead in a ditch? Because that’s what used to happen before.

350 kW will be the game changer. At that point, you don’t need to plan for charge stops. It will require batteries that can handle that charge rate consistently.

Kudos to you. I’ve had a lot of people (some on this site) try to tell me that cross country with 310 mile range and superchargers added an unacceptable delay. That’s patently ridiculous.

You are correct. I haven’t seen CCS above 70KW but there appear to be a few now. There aren’t nearly enough in the mid Atlantic to make any sort of trip. Hopefully this will change.

Porsche and Tesla Model 3 owner.

It goes into holding pools as yucca mountain still cannot accept nuclear waste. While it is there, it will experience beta decay which will produce heat in the pool but no carbon or nitrites will be released into the air.

McGuire Nuclear at the moment.

I really don’t think it’s so much half-assed, as it is what happens when a company is building a test bed that still has to make profit first

Agree but is it really R/D anymore (regarding their price inflation)?

I’m confused. I thought these things wouldn’t pass emissions? Dieselgate and all that....

Designed by Harmon engineers:

Define plush? The best premium audio system installed in an automobile today? The defacto gold standard for navigation integrated with fueling stops? A car with the best driver assistance system in production that only gets better?

And a supercharging stop can be less than 10 minutes. Depending on how many pit stops you have to make, you can effectively not have to stop to charge. If you actually understood these cars instead of making arguments out of ignorance, you would understand this.
