every piece of rubber on that car is rotten.  Every bushing, every seal, will fail one at a time should anyone be foolish enough to drive it.

Please tell us how to pronounce the name of this interesting soup.

4005 dollars each

Which american luxury car was as good as  a German luxury car of the same vintage?  I’m genuinely curious and not trying to be snarkish.  Some modern Caddy’s are pretty nice.  70's and 80's caddy’s and Lincolns are pretty meh.

The cost of electricity is going up.  Way up.  Gas stoves still work when the power is off.  Fix the electricity delivery systems and I’ll be on board.  Not much chance of that in what’s left of my existence.  Lots of peak power is generated by, wait for it, Gas turbines.  I know more must be done but this is cart

The 4C was tiny, I mean really tiny inside with an enormous door sill.  It had NO luggage space at all and it cost as much as a Corvette.  No Fiat!  Bad Fiat!

Laminated and tempered glass behave differently.  Laminated windshields can usually tolerate warm (not hot) water without damage.  Tempered side windows don’t like being warmed up suddenly after being frozen and will rapidly unscheduled  disassemble themselves with only slight provocation.  Chemical ice removers are a

Building a plane that can do everything that fighter planes do will insure that it does all the “things” but none of them particularly well.  Usually at a high per unit cost and often with lots of incidents and accidents.  One-size-fits-all is a pipe dream.

Anyone who would drive a C1 vette or a 427 Cobra in snow deserves to be wadded up in it like a damp, snotty tissue and tossed in a junkyard

I once sat on a friends’ porch in Vermont on a pretty warm summer night.  We were enjoying the night and refreshments when, over on a ridge, on the other side of the valley, were some lights wobbling through the woods.  We could hear the snarl of some tortured engine being wrung like a rag and I wondered who could be

That’s gonna be GM

Got married in 1977.  Went to Disney World for the honeymoon.  Rented a 1977 AMC gremlin for a week for 75 bucks and bring it back full of gas.  We had a lot of fun but the car was just transportation. It was fine.  No chance at all that thing is worth that ask.

The “Have to” group is the VAST majority of potential buyers.  Prices must come down, a lot.

Monthly housing prices hereabouts  are very high. 1-2K a month before utilities is not uncommon.  Throw a another grand at a carloan and groceries and electricity become luxuries.  Don’t know where you live but in the Northeast, cost of living has doubled since the pandemic.  No sign of a slowdown either.

This is a correct take^

I use ziploc bags and wash and re use them a few times.  They can be used until the seal fails.

My daughter got me one for christmas two years ago and it is the only way to cook a pork loin.  Brine it and sear it when “done” and it’s the best pork you’ll likely have eaten in a long time.

Tom Brady looks like he’s had it done.

this piece is what I want to read from this site. Excellent!  Please sir, may I have some more?

If it’s  a Honda, It’s a Takata.
