I mean, Wrigley Field has been around for a long time. This isn’t an entirely new circumstance.

New York Red Bulls

Im sure it took a lot of self-restraint to not refer to the 70 year-old as a “sepukkugenarian.” Well done, Billy.

No one ever said switching to triathlons was easy.  RIP

Suicide. Is there a shortcut this guy won’t take?

Not sure anything is ever found alive in the LA river.

I was literally about to write this. I submitted over 10-15 rides that show Uber takes between 1-33%. I crush it in DC and most drivers make way more then the authors of these articles. But fake news or skewed news or BAD news is all the rage today. They are tryin to “f*ck” up our jobs. For dumb reasons

And drivers will submit only fares where they feel they got “screwed.” They won’t submit all the other fares where Uber paid out a surge even though the passenger wasn’t paying a surge.

Yes. GIVE US THE DATA TO PROVE WE’RE RIGHT!

Nailed it. “Help me prove my opinion is right!” is a great way to start a data study.

I was gonna say Self-Selection Bias but I think you’re right, or they’re very similar. It’s been a long time since my last stats class....but like any online review, you have to assume ~10:1 ratio of complaints to positive experiences.

Absolutely right, it’s called Voluntary Response Bias

I feel like you’re only getting receipts from drivers who feel like they got screwed with this change. I’m betting you didn’t get any receipts from drivers where Uber lost money on a fare because they paid a sticky surge to the driver even though the passenger did not pay a fare.

Likewise (about everything). I’m also quite impressed by their politeness and how attentive they are.

This. Most people I talk to couldn’t care less about the values of a company. If it’s a good product, we buy it.

Quality of food is subjective, but service is less so. If you’ve actually dined at a Chickfila before then I don’t see how you can think it’s “average” and on par most fast food places. To date, it’s the only fast food place I’ve been to that provides table service where employees with bring your food out to you and

“Standard” service? Either you’ve never been to CFA, or never been to any other fast-food outlets.

This. I disagree with their politics but I’ve never been in a Chik Fil A that wasn’t spotlessly clean. On the flip side I’ve seen McDonald’s bathrooms that made truck stops look hygienic.

The data says otherwise.

Nah. What it really is that they do serve good tasting food. Their stores are clean and their service is great. Most people don’t give a shit about the political thing and they want a fast food place where the food is good, the restaurant is clean, and the service is top notch. Chick-fil-A gives them all of that.
