Speculating about someone being assassinated if they were elected and then took certain actions once in office, without stating support for that hypothetical assassination, while gross and dangerous, almost certainly isn’t illegal.

And don’t forget about them Senate races. Even if Indiana and Arizona don’t go for Clinton, they might still flip the Senate.

Boers reference!

I’m not sure that Trump’s calling for Clinton’s assassination is adequately presidential. I’m strongly considering not voting for him.

That’s the big finale. He gets shot at so much over the first twelve episodes that his tattered clothing just falls off entirely and the villains forget what they were doing.

I worked concessions at a movie theater in the summer of 1998, during which Titanic was still playing on a bunch of screens. Also, the X-Files movie came out that summer. What a time to be alive...

Counterpoint:

Judges’ humanity so often shows up in the news in the form of anger or spite or bias; it’s nice to see that there’s an upside to not replacing human judges with JusticeBots(TM) after all. (For one thing, JusticeBots(TM) would short circuit when they got all misty at this scene.)

Totally not just you. My favorite event is basketball, in which the US teams defeat the world so soundly it starts to feel unsportsmanlike. I watched Venezuela hang in there with the men’s team for a quarter and my feelings could only be described as righteous indignation - how dare they put up a fight?! Don’t they

Oh, for the days when we could just disagree about whether supply-side economics had been discredited by history.

I suspect that if (god willing) Trump loses, the take away for a lot of the right will be that they only lost because they didn’t run a REAL conservative, similar to the response to McCain’s loss. A sizable portion of the right is convinced that if they would only run an anti-abortion, pro-gun, pro-tax cut rock-ribbed

That Satan monument was really well designed.

P.S. What is your favorite super hero, Julian’s parents?

Wow, that’s huge for a dog.

“Short pants”? Do they also re-buckle their knickerbockers below the knee? Trouble! Right here in River City!

It’s the Trump general election pivot! Everything that he’s said and done up thus far is now totally in the past, and I suddenly find him to be a totally reasonable candidate for president!

That’s a nice theory, but Occam’s Razor suggests a most straightforward answer: Kiss were your babysitters.

The debates are coming...

On the upside, at least people are at least starting to feel like they need to pretend that they aren’t uncomfortable with gay people. Recognition that open bigotry is no longer acceptable isn’t much progress, but it’s something. I guess. (This isn’t actually that much upside, really.)
