I really would’ve enjoyed seeing Simon Pegg do this. We don’t get nearly enough visits from Shaun on our screens these days.

I recommend the Elite Dangerous subreddit, they have a few helpful starter guides and general info that is useful. They also have daily question threads where you can ask knowledgable players stuff.

I’ve owned Elite Dangerous for years, and tried to get into it several times, including when I first got my VR headset, but the tutorial feels stunted and the game is so vast and sprawling that I’d really love an accessible guide on how to get started without immediately getting lost and being stranded in the vast

I don’t quite get the critical rap against Cars (Cars 2, much more understandable). It’s far from Pixar’s best, but there’s nothing really wrong with the film. It hits all the right story, emotional and humor beats without any real weak scenes. The more you think about it, the weirder the philosophical implications of

I thought we wanted to know when and why they murdered the humans. Obviously the world they live in was not created for cars, with all the buildings too small for them to enter and so on.

Sally’s got a tramp stamp, so we know they at least like to shake it up a little.

With Cars, Pixar basically remakes Doc Hollywood, also invents a way to print money.

Really aging is what the writer wants to know about?

Do the cars in Pixar’s Cars get old? Questions like this have dogged the film since it came out back in 2006.

I’ll see myself out.

What sandwich places are you getting the same size or even more meat for 5 dollars? I live in a pretty average priced market and there’s nobody giving out footlong sandwiches for 5 dollars.

I miss Quizno’s.

They could, but corporate wants to keep their profit on the ingredients they sell to the franchisees. If the franchisees could buy their supplies on the open market they’d probably be fine with $5 footlongs since with cheaper ingredients available they might be able to swing a decent profit.

Subway corporate takes over 12% of gross weekly sales. For comparison, McDonald’s takes 4% and Jimmy John’s 6%.

Step one should be making a sub that someone wants to eat. How they are not making a fortune selling basically a lettuces sandwich at 5 bucks is beyond me.

Just seeing the word ‘Subway’ conjures up that unpleasant smell that always emanates from a Subway location.

Offering the $5 footlong only as part of a chips (or cookie) and drink combo like the Franchisees’ association wants seems like a totally reasonable compromise to me. When I (admittedly rarely) go to subway my order is usually a footlong and a drink, offering the sandwich at a discount with chips and a drink would

Because they’re like Wendy’s chili: they offset the low cost by letting the individual stores repurpose ingredients into dishes with more stability or that fly out the window. You notice poor quality meat a lot quicker in a burger than in chili or tacos

It is odd to me that Subway franchises foot longs can sustain a $5 price. I pay the same money (7/8) at other sub shops for a 100% better sub (with more meat). Why can’t a giant corporation can’t have cheaper prices for a lower quality/quantity sub?

That’s because Subway made a deal with the Devil and the stores exist as a front for stealing your soul. Just look at their logo - it begins and ends with a pointy Devil tail. And being in the Subway puts you underground, and closer to Hell.
