By "overtly" I meant what was immediately apparent on the surface. I felt my second theory held a good bit more ground, but I did have a bit of a fight defending it to my siblings. They both felt it had anti-religious connotation (one of them being an atheist).

I got a mixed wibe on the topic of religion from this episode. On one hand, it had overtly anti-religious points with the "promised land" bit. On the other hand, it seemed more focused on the idea that preserving something to the point that it loses its essence is a pointless endeavor. As a Christian who didn't even

Anonimity is a large part of it, but you also have to factor in the fact that the loons tend to be most vocal—in every walk of life. Saying that gamers aren't very nice people is sort of.....off putting (?), especially for a game developer. I'm all for game developers saying that external criticism is not the defining

The Progenitor.

Nope, just health orbs. :/

Certain things in Lordran do work as they do in our world, but certain things don't. That's not a false assumption, it's a fact, unless you are prepared to tell me that I can kill someone and use their soul to increase my physical strength to Herculean proportions, to increase my intelligence, ect.

Well, in the Dark Souls universe, I can collect ethereal essence for use as currency and self-augmentation, and pulling spirits from points of distorted time for assistance is feasible. Real world logic must be used sparingly in Lordran.

Me thinks you're taking this a bit too seriously.

I don't have to be chosen to remain optimistic about a situation.

Well, you can keep coming back if you die. I would probably choose Lordran for that reason alone. Negative feelings are what causes the hollowfication. Besides, you wouldn't be bound by game mechanics, so you have a little more choice in tactics. Who says that you have to go out and swing your sword at the demon of

I made a mistake, but maybe you should check your capitalization, oh wise one.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be politically incorrect.

I'm pretty sure you'll get one if you show your face to mankind. If we can lynch an elephant, we can lynch a lizard.

I don't think it's a threat to the community, but fake geeks (as well as real, pretentious ones) do exist. A witch hunt isn't necessary, but it does make their personalities pretty insufferable. There is a girl I know (whose name I won't disclose) that, while she is knowledgable in certain comics and games, she uses

That was meant to be poeticness. My apologies.

Maybe I'm biased, as I've never read the original books (or book, as it were), but I fail to see how the barrel scene was atrocious. The Hobbit was actually written as a children's book, so the movie adding a little light-hearted diversion doesn't at all seem out of character. The main grievance I've heard from fans

The first zombie film, if I recall, was actually about voodoo mind control.

There's nothing wrong with that. You're never too old to enjoy a good anime.

I don't think everyone has to be 100% or 50% up to date on gaming news, but the FLCL avatar does make me raise an "eyebrow" about your age. Eh? Eh?

You do realize Wind Waker takes place assuming Link remained an adult, right?
