My point was, it doesn't really fit with the tone of Pokémon. Writing a story based off of Pokémon is all well and good, but what's the point if if it barely resembles what it came from? I'm just curious, because it seems like you're interested in writing, but why rely on brand recognition to tell your story?

Is Michael Bay in any way affiliated with this? Because it smells of Bay with a hint of Shyamalan.

I actually was unaware of the Peter Pan inspiration. My apologies.

The Link in ALBW was homage to the appearance of the older Link design, which was mainly designed with brown hair due to programming restrictions. Most games in that time had very narrow color palettes. Every Link for some time now has been a similarly designed blonde boy.

I agree that personhood is much more complicated than that, but the reincarnation story that the developers have set up is more of a transfer, which is why, unless the Hero does something to lose the Triforce before his reincarnation, he still has the Triforce. I believe it was said that Link from Majora's Mask lost

A soul is a person's essence, so, yes, the same person.

You are making a whole lot of assumptions, here.

What he said then has been revoked by what has been canonly put into print now. That happens from time to time with stories. Hyrule Historia was meant to tie everything together in a meaningful way and create a more comprehensible canon. My point on Ganondorf wasn't that he had his Triforce shard throughout the games,

The Triforce isn't inherently connected to Link, rather is just a relic of the three goddesses. His quest to obtain the Triforce is just a means to be able to fight evil, and is not connected to his reincarnation, though it can be passed on. This is shown in how Ganondorf is able to utilize the Triforce of power,

Link is the Hero of Time, and, as I've said, is bound to Princess Zelda. This is his definite role. His voicelessness is so that you may more easily put yourself in his position within the set rules of the world. For me, I can view the games both on personal and objective levels while playing.

If that's how you choose to play, then that is perfectly fine. My point is that Link isn't a replaceable avatar that can be changed to suit what others wish him to be. He has a definite role, but if ignoring that role is how you play, go ahead and play the way that makes you happy.

Head cannon doesn't change what is true. His name is no less Link than Cloud's name is Cloud or Tidus's name is Tidus. There are a lot of games that allow you to change a character's name, but still give them a true name. These games only give you the option to rename for fun, not for bearing on story.

Actually, he is always the same person. The Hyrule Historia includes a comic explaining why Link is always Link, and Zelda is always Zelda. Link was a warrior who was loved by Goddess Hylia. He perished after banishing evil, so the goddess renounced her divinity and swore that their hearts would always be connected.

Racism: the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, esp. so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.

So, pretty much, if you are a white male, you are privileged and not deserving of having anything for yourself in the entertainment industry. If I am a white male and like something that is white male centric, I am racist and believe that I am the only one that matters. If you want to take from me to extend your race

What you are aren't taking into account (as the very Wikipedia page you linked to expresses) is that that the definition of rape has become severely skewed based on opinion. I've met people that consider the very act of "checking a woman out" as rape. Turning a molehill into a mountain is more than apt here, I

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for calling her out. I know that Kotaku gets bad rep a lot, and I have a lot to say about the articles that can be featured here, but I also know that it's a few bad apples in a bunch. You are a great editor, and many of your writers give a nice balance of news and opinion, but

It's not that I don't think we can't enjoy other stories of other people, but to actively take the stories we already enjoy for yourself is to say that we deserve to be knocked down a peg. We can not help that there are more of us. If women (or any other insertable group) had pioneered comics or games, I would not

Well, by equal rights, I mean legally; Discrimination is an absolute in life, no matter how similar we become. There are still bogus laws out there as far as women and men are concerned, but they are all but obsolete and ignored (though I may be unaware of a few). Feminism wise, I do not believe that all who identify

It's alright—go ahead and vent :). I know, it's a pretty frustrating topic. I believe feminism should just be dropped all together. Think about that word for a minute: FEMinism. What does that term tell you this group is concerned about? I need feminism? No. I need HUMANISM. The problem with labels like feminism is
