My point was, it doesn't really fit with the tone of Pokémon. Writing a story based off of Pokémon is all well and good, but what's the point if if it barely resembles what it came from? Link is the Hero of Time, and, as I've said, is bound to Princess Zelda. This is his definite role. His voicelessness is so that you may more easily put yourself in his position within the set rules of the world. For me, I can view the games both on personal and objective levels while playing.
