That was painful to watch.

I only order burgers medium-well at this point, I don’t care what restaurant I’m at.  For one, the bun tends to fall apart if the inside is too pink due to all the juices flowing (not what I’m looking for), and I also generally don’t feel well after eating medium or less burgers.  I like my steaks rare or blue rare

Not only that, but it is increasingly apparent that the older citizens elected to political positions are not as adept at understanding new technologies and how they fall under existing laws, or when to amend those laws.

The reviews on that air hockey table indicate that it’s crappier than the $60 price tag would suggest.

If ever there were a face that screams “term limits” this is it.

Honest question: do those people still have the same impression of Acosta after he gave time to them?

I’m not completely disagreeing with your main point either, regarding journalists’ interactions with the public, but I think Acosta may have been taken aback by the outpouring of not-screaming at him and decided to roll with it.  I’m not necessarily going to begrudge him that but I don’t think this would be a healthy

I brought up the issue of violence, yes, since that is a documented possibility at Trump’s campaign rallies but it’s not comparable to the definite probability of violence if one were to attend an ISIS meeting.  It’s just not a good comparison if we are trying to rise above rhetoric.

First, I think it’s a bit of a stretch to compare Trump rally-goers with ISIS members or Somali pirates; these are part of the American voting public, who clearly have trapped themselves in the conservative wing echo chamber, as head-poundingly frustrating as that may be to the rest of us. A CNN reporter chastising

Yep, I totally get where you’re coming from.

Fair, but he is not us.

Someone post the video of the MAGA hat-wearing septuagenarian meekly gesturing for LeBron’s sweaty towel.

I’m not sure what we expected him to do here. Journalists, by definition, are supposed to be neutral observers documenting events; they also, according to many fine people, have a reputation as elitists who are out of touch with the common folk. If Acosta refuses autographs, even politely, he is likely branded as too

I saw that and couldn’t believe that a rational adult would type something so blatantly incorrect but then I remembered the events leading up to the 2016 election so now I’m not okay with it but understand that the extremist wing in the GOP has given up all pretense of rationality.

Well, as much as I hate to wish ill upon another person I don’t think we’d be able to prevent it, so it will probably sort itself out.

The hair on the back of my neck stood up like in one of those horror movies.

To be fair, this administration has occasionally denied knowledge of separation.

That’s great for Trump’s base, but it’s increasingly clear that his base constitutes a minority of Americans and this policy even splits Republicans, so the evidence is piling up that this was a severe miscalculation by the current administration. When your policy approach loses Ralph Reed and the evangelical vote

Remember how Dan Aykroyd’s character in Ghostbusters tries to blank his mind and instead Mr Stay Puft pops in there? Same thing, except more malevolent.

I found a flower yesterday in my yard that resembled both hogweed (except much smaller) and poison ivy. Turns out it was goutweed. Hogweed looks like Day of the Triffids.
