I say this only in a narrow electoral sense, but plans don’t matter. Even as President they can’t happen exactly as promised unless that person controls their party and the party controls the whole government and their laws are constitutional.

while Warren looks somewhat strong with a muddled plan.
Couldn’t agree more. The amount of people parroting misinformation that they pick up from twitter and reddit is alarming. To actually go and read her policies, research her record and then think critically about how they compare to Sanders’, well that would take just too much brain power.
Thank you, and once again, my bad.
It’s cool, I did the same thing earlier. I think today has taught me that a lot of the ‘bernie bro’ behavior is due to the passion that a lot of us have for the ideas that are coming closer to reality. This means a lot to a lot of us, and sometimes it’s easy to go off on people who aren’t where we are.
Thank you, perfectly stated.
This all day. Her anti-corruption history is pretty legendary at this point, and is crucial to fix our system so that we don’t get stuck with Trump 2.0 in 8 years or so.
Which positions, pray tell, are you talking about? The main differences between their biggest positions are minor details at best, because both proposed a wealth tax, student loan forgiveness, and Medicare for All.
I don’t think the concern is Bros putting people off of voting for Bernie in the primary; it’s what happens if he doesn’t get the nomination. The numbers aren’t encouraging that his supporters will automatically pivot to the Democratic nominee. 80-90% of the other front-running candidates’ supporters say they will…
Yeah, internet arguing has a very specific function and utility. If you get into it past that, you’re just another angry rando windmilling punches at someone who couldn’t care less if you live or die. Won’t do that anymore.
It’s like watching a poorly designed chat bot get caught in a dialogue loop with itself. If someone doesn’t kill the procedure, it will just keep running and running until the server it is hosted on either crashes or physically shuts down.
She’s also the strongest anti-corruption candidate, both in terms of highlighting and running against it, but also in focusing on rooting it out. This is exactly the time that we need someone like her at the forefront, and it seems tragic that she’s the one getting ignored.
I would argue the opposite, as it cemented her appeal to me. It shows she’s thoroughly thought out all the basics, and while yes, the ultimate plan will wind up different, you have to start from something. The others have been paying more lip service to it without anything substantial to back that up (I believe that’s…
The Splinter bros are so busy talking to themselves that they fail to realize that the true members of The Root Community give zero fucks about anything that they have to say.
Good parody.
Whelp...the homeless Splinter bros have succeeded in colonizing The Root’s political commentaries. I absolutely hate the way that they always manage to hijack the comments’ thread.
So what wraps this up? You’re both talking past each other, and seem to be generally aligned aside from that.
Hahaha man that’s a giant paragraph of funny shit.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Evil King Grump lead sweeping criminal justice reform, encouraged the path to energy independence, nominated two brilliant jurists for the land’s high court, kept a longstanding promise to his allies about their embassy, encouraged the funding of border security, ended the abhorrent…
FFS. One primary in and one wonky caucus. We have NINE months to go. She’s being ignored when she’s the only progressive that explains things - and it doesn’t feel condescending to me.
