I can’t argue that Trump supporters are majority non men, nope. Can’t do it! It has been a frustrating couple of years for surveys on this, partly because surveys may have not been asking the right questions, partly because surveys are asking the questions they want to prove. So we have conflicting surveys and data

Your point -that Trump supporters were upper middle class white men-seems intuitively correct, but isn’t supported by hard data.

YMMV, but worth it for the weaponized nails and more energy for me.

You are correct. That is a bull, not a steer.

Stress depletes my B vitamins and minerals, so I’m taking a couple of gummy vitamins aimed at women -folic acid, etc- and 3 capsules of a hair/nails/skin vitamin I got at Costco. I have been really really stressed since Nov 2016, for some reason. The vitamins are really helping, though I had to take them for a couple

Bellino is probably a Chianina- one of the oldest and largest cattle breeds. We had Charolais cattle when I was a kid. They’re...huge.

Holsteins are dairy cattle. This is a big steer:

72% of white non college educated men who voted voted for Trump, along with 62% of white non educated female voters. 51% of white female college educated voters (who voted), voted Clinton.

Last May in Seattle:

That is a lovely tiara. Here’s my favorite, made for Caroline of Naples, Napoleon’s sister, it depicts wild roses and jasmine flowers, some of which are “tremblant”, so they move a bit.

Holstein/Friesian are dairy cattle. Big boned, and made to make a lot of milk, when it’s a cow. This guy is a steer, just cruising around with other steers. The other guys look like Dexters, who are tiny. And much better eating than Holsteins.

I remember seeing some of these in the 70's. The last image of Notes From the Second Year: Women’s Liberation...these had pretty wide distribution, at least in major cities with universities.

I stand corrected, your friend is a woman. The other points still apply, though. There are...breadcrumbs. Blaming the exes. Having “a temper”. Hitting a significant other during an argument.

The elephant in the room on sex work is that it is fueled by gender and power inequality. It is difficult to unpack cultural values re: sex/feminism/sex workers honestly without looking at that dynamic.

Aurora borealis/northern lights? Yes, I saw them 20 or so years ago, in Washington state. Green light in the sky to the north, a bright yellowed green. No other color but green.

Oh, I am sorry! What a great picture, though, of happier times.

I tell my ultra conservative wacky religious relatives that I love them. My understanding is that they’re twisted, miserable as only someone who is simultaneously terrified of and wanting to feel superior to every skin, gender, and religion variant that isn’t them. They’ve othered the whole world, and all science.

Why people go back to an abuser- or simply continue to have contact with them is a complex question. Sometimes you have a child in common, and a legal system that only offers you a piece of paper as protection from a known abuser that has caused you known injuries.

You write an honest letter. You can say that you never saw him hit her because you weren’t there, if you weren’t there. And then you can outline exactly what he said to you about the incident, and refer to various other times when your friend has gotten aggressive to get his way. Perhaps he gets a little mean when

Pyramid schemes only make money for the people who start them. There is no infinite number of people eager to be conned. I don’t care what the scam is (Vitamins? Spirulina? Yoga pants?). Do the math. And be prepared to lose any friends and relatives you get involved in it, too.
